  • Fortnitemares 2025 is confirmed to begin on October 9.
  • The Halloween update will bring crossovers like Scooby Doo, Friday the 13th, and more.
  • The update will be active in-game until Chapter 6 Season 4 ends on November 1.

Fortnite is known for its seasonal events and collabs that keep its player base engaged throughout the year. Whether it’s an Easter update, Winterfest in Christmas, or Fortnitemares in Halloween, players tune in large numbers to celebrate their favorite holiday with their friends in the game and grab free skins and offers running during that time.

While Winterfest and Easter have their own charm, Fortnitemares is a staple of all seasonal events that players look forward to as the entire island turns spooky, and Fortnite’s user base loves a good scare. Previous Fortnitemares installations brought Zombies, Witches, and even Chainsaw killers to the game; this year, collaborations will rule the Halloween in Fortnite.

Here’s everything we know so far about Fortnitemares 2025, including its release date, collabs, and gameplay additions.

Fortnitemares 2025 Release Date Confirmed

Each year, Fortnite drops its much-awaited Halloween update on October 9, just three weeks before Halloween day. Last year’s update was also released during the same window. So this year, in 2025, expect Fortnitemares 2025 to start on Thursday, October 9, 2025, in a brand new hotfix.

However, the content will remain in the game until November 1, as Chapter 6 Season 4 ends that day with a mini-event, which will bring the highly rumored Chapter 6 Mini Season 2 with a Simpson collab throughout Battle Royale.

Fortnitemares 2025 Game Modes and Maps

Demon Rush LTM

Fortnite introduces Demon Rush as its newest LTM, which dropped with the v37.40 update, to begin the Fortnitemares 2025 festivities. This mode is a remix of Horde Rush, which combines K-pop energy with Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters’ demonic intensity to create an intense survival experience.

The mode lets you join forces with HUNTR/X members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey to fight against endless waves of monsters that seek to destroy you. The LTM is live until November 1st to give away exclusive content, such as skins and emotes, to top players, while UEFN creators receive official assets to build their own hunter havens. The mode also brings specialized mythics for the characters, as well as quests you can complete to get free rewards.

New Reload Map

The Haunted Hollows map will introduce a frightening twist to Fortnite’s Reload mode when it debuts on October 9, 2025, as part of Fortnitemares 2025 Halloween celebrations. The redesigned small island creates an unsettling atmosphere through its misty forests, which will add abandoned pumpkin fields that conceal evil traps, and glowing haunted houses that emit supernatural power.

The mode will experience more intense auto-reboots during spectral storms and zombie-infested POIs, which create ideal conditions for fast-paced, intense matches between players. The Early Access Cups on October 3 and 5 will give players access to the map before the general access arrives. The top 25% of duos who participate in Early Access Cups will receive access, and top placements will get the free Dark Maw outfit.

Every Leaked Fortnitemares 2025 Collab

Jason Voorhees and Ghostface

The menacing killer from the Friday the 13th film series, Jason Voorhees is rumored to come to Fortnite with Fortnitemares 2025 and is poised to get his own in-game skin.

Furthermore, Voorhees will also get his own medallion in the game that players will be able to claim to get special abilities. However, we speculate that the medallion will be a part of Blitz, similar to the One Punch Man medallion.

If you’re not a Jason fan and like Ghostface instead, fret not, because Ghostface is also rumored to be a part of Fortnitemares 2025 and will bring his own special mythic weapon called Stalker Knife along with him as an in-game outfit.

The character will also get his own medallion; however, it isn’t confirmed if it will be in the Battle Royale or a new mode altogether.

Scooby Doo

As per leaks, Scooby Doo is another popular collab that will make its way to the Item Shop during the Fortnitemares 2025 event. In the collab, Scooby will get his own in-game skin, along with his best friend Shaggy, accompany him with multiple skins or unique styles of his own.

That’s not all – his signature vehicle, the Mystery Machine, will also be added to the shop as a vehicle for players to get. It isn’t confirmed if the rest of the crew members, like Fred, Daphne, and Velma, will be getting their skins or not.

R.E.P.O

Popular survival horror game R.E.P.O. is also a strong contender to appear in Fortnite during its annual Halloween event, as it’s already leaked by trustworthy sources.

Players will get character skins and emotes in the Item Shop; however, not much info about the alleged collab is available at this moment.

K-Pop Demon Hunters

The fan-favorite Netflix film joins hands with Epic to bring skins of its titular characters, Rumi, Zoey, and Mira, in Fortnite. The collab is now live in Fortnite and players can get crossover cosmetic items from the Item Shop.

Furthermore, new mythic items like Rumi’s Empowered Sword, Mira’s X-Tra Spicy Ramyeon consumable, Zoey’s Bubble Shield and Tiger’s Teleporting Mask have been added to Battle Royale and Demon Rush modes that you can find and use.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat is known to be a longtime fan of Fortnite, as the iconic musical artist is often seen streaming the game on her Twitch channel.

In one of her recent streams, she revealed she’s soon getting her own Fortnite Icon skin, and later, she confirmed it at an airing of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that apart from the skin, she’s also going to be a boss in Battle Royale when Fortnitemares arrives.

Terrifier’s Art the Clown

One of the most horrifying films of the year, Terrifier 3 is bringing Art the Clown to Fortnite in an exclusive Halloween collab. While Epic usually joins hands with family-friendly film franchises, Terrifier 3 is one of the bloodiest R-rated films that suggests Fortnite also wants to welcome a mature demographic of players.

While Art the Clown may not feature blood on his hands, clothes, or even his mouth, as it goes against Epic’s guidelines, players would still be thrilled if the iconic character graces the game, as latest leaks have suggested.

Black Phone

Remember Black Phone? The iconic 2022 film where Ethan Hawke plays the terrifying character of The Grabber? The filmmakers are speculated to release the skin and cosmetics in a Fortnitemares-themed collab in the item shop.

While the film isn’t mainstream among the usual Fortnite player base, its loyalists and fans would appreciate the diversity in collabs Fortnitemares has this year around.

Poppy Playtime

Poppy Playtime is one of the most unexpected collabs we thought we’d hear to arrive in Fortnite. Ever since Five Nights at Freddy’s got leaked, players were looking forward to its release. Alongside the hype, Poppy Playtime has also been speculated about for a long time.

Well, now that the wait is over as Huggy Wuggy is coming to Fortnitemares 2025 this year as an in-game skin, so fans of the franchise can play as the beloved terror and enjoy the Halloween festivities.
