The newly introduced sentient human god tree clones, aka Shinju, gave the strongest characters in Boruto a run for their money. They are an ever-expanding crew who can be resurrected even if they are defeated, which makes them one of the terrifying villain groups who crossed Boruto’s path. Each god tree clone is one of the most powerful individuals we have in the story by far. So, let’s compare every Human God Tree clone that has awakened so far and find out the strongest one among them here.

Before we begin, we highly recommend reading about the Human God Trees in Boruto to better understand their nature and where their power stems from. With that said, let’s begin:
5. Mamushi
Kicking off our list with Mamushi, who was spawned after a claw grime consumed Bug (an outer from Kara) and turned him into a tree. Out of all the human god tree clones introduced in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex so far, Mamushi is the only one whose powers haven’t been properly showcased in the series, and we don’t know much about the host Bug’s abilities as well.
However, a glimpse of his strength was revealed when Boruto tailed Code into Kara’s dimension earlier. To everyone’s surprise, Mamushi quickly hurled Boruto into a wall with his gigantic left arm. It seems that Mamushi can modify his body parts to a great extent, and it automatically increases his strength. He remains silent at the moment, but we expect him to step onto the battlefield soon as he targets Eida.
4. Ryu
Ryu is the latest God Tree clone to be awakened after a Claw Grime consumes Shinki, Gaara’s adoptive son. Don’t be deceived by his calm and composed demeanor, as Ryu recently proved his might against Sarada Uchiha. As he emerged from Shinki, Ryu inherited the Magnet Release and became an Iron Sand man in the series.
He showed off his Iron Sand powers and easily held back Sarada, Mitsuki, and the Sunagakure ninjas. Ryu was versatile with his iron sand, such as transforming himself into sand, coating it on his enemies, among many other abilities. However, Sarada Uchiha awakened her Mangekyou Sharingan powers in this battle and obliterated him with her newfound power.
3. Matsuri
Matsuri originated as a human god tree clone after Moegi (Konohomaru’s teammate) was taken out earlier in the story. Since her debut, Matsuri has made it clear that she is the strongest in her group after Hidari and Jura. She demonstrated her Wood Release abilities and dominated against Gaara, the fifth Kazekage, first. With wooden powers, Matsuri can unleash and even turn her clothes into wood and deal heavy blows against her opponents.
In addition, Matsuri also possesses the ability to communicate with plants and trees, by which she intended to crack Boruto’s location in the desert. Matsuri’s mind was clouded by her romantic feelings towards Konohomaru. Though she performed well against Konohomaru, Boruto unexpectedly entered the scene and ripped her apart with ruthless slashes. Same as Ryu, Matsuri’s fate also remains unknown, as both of their Thorn Soul Bulbs are in the hands of Konoha ninjas.
2. Hidari
Fans were eager to meet Sasuke Uchiha again after the time skip in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Unexpectedly, the sequel story opened up with Sasuke getting transformed into a tree, and consequently led to the birth of Hidari. A powerful god tree clone has now inherited the powers of one of the legendary ninjas in history, which automatically dubbed him the second strongest Shinju clone after their leader, Jura.
In addition to the common earth, water, and wood release, Hidari performs lightning and fire release, as he is based on Sasuke Uchiha. Even though Hidari can replicate any of Sasuke’s potent techniques, he struggles and naturally resulting in a less powerful output as Hidari doesn’t have Sharingan eyes. It took the combined efforts of Sarada, Boruto, and Kawaki to defeat Hidari when the clones invaded Konoha. However, he was swiftly restored to full strength by his leader, who put his Soul Thorn Bulb in the Daihakoten cube and resurrected him.
1. Jura
If you expected to meet a different clone other than Jura at the top, then I’m afraid you are wrong with this one. Unlike the other shinju clones, Jura isn’t based on any human and originated as an incarnation of Ten-Tails. He is the first god tree clone to be awakened and still stands tall as the number 1 strongest human god tree clone to this day.
Jura is the definition of built differently as he has inhuman strength to overpower everyone else and an unbreakable body to withstand all the blows being born from the Tailed Beast. He can make things tough for his adversaries with just his bare hands and can make everyone’s lives hell, being a proficient user of wood release. In addition, he can unleash tailed beast balls and shoot rays of energy from his eyes.
As a result, Jura easily surpasses his fellow clones in every aspect and is the rightful leader, leading them to victory.
