The story revolves around the employees of a struggling Ohio newspaper. Led by editor-in-chief Ned Sampson, the company heavily relies on the volunteer reporters so that they can prevent the downfall with the community angle stories or investigative stunts. Gen V, the popular spin-off of The Boys, is one of the best superhero shows out there, and it’s nothing like your good-old superhero show that features the good guy saving the citizens. Instead, it’s a bloody tale that features some teenagers misusing their superhuman powers to, well, terrorize everyone around them.

The first season of Gen V featured Homelander arriving on the scene and recruiting some disturbed superhero teenagers for his cause. On the other hand, the good guys were apprehended by Vought, and now, after a long wait, we will get to see how it all unfolds in Season 2 of Gen V when the new episodes arrive on September 17, 2025.

What’s worse is that Vice brings in the threat of some loan sharks, who, as expected, don’t shy from killing.

Now, both Vince and Jake have to find ways to get out of this situation alive, which also means they will have to get their hands dirty. Black Rabbit seems to have great potential, but we will have to wait until September 18 to see if the story lives up to its potential.

Yes, like Squid Game, Alice in Borderland is also coming to an end with its much-awaited Season 3. The third season will feature Arisu and Usagi being dragged back into Purgatory. This time, however, they will have to face only a single face card. Yes, we are talking about Joker.

Alice in Borderland Season 3 will be released on Netflix on September 25. It will be an action-packed adventure, but more than that, it will be an emotional end to a fantastic tale that started with the first season of the survival series.

10. Chad Powers

Image Credit: 20th Television (via YouTube/Hulu, Screenshot by Aparna Ukil/Beebom)
  • Release Date: September 30, 2025
  • Director: Glen Powell, Michael Waldron
  • Cast: Glen Powell, Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Clayne Crawford, Colton Ryan, Keese Wilson, Xavier Mills, Quentin Plair
  • Where to Watch: Hulu

Glen Powell is a great actor who is always fun to watch on screen. But now, after giving us several action-packed stories, the actor is all set to make a shift towards a goofy comedic series. In the upcoming Hulu series, Glen will play Russ Holliday, a banned football player who wants to get back into the game.

But instead of making amends, Russ puts on a wig and takes a different identity: Chad Powers. This sends Russ, or shall we say Chad, on an unforeseen journey which, honestly, will be torturous for Russ but enjoyable for the viewers. Glen seems impressive in this role, and we can’t wait to see his brilliance when the show finally arrives on September 30.

With such good TV shows releasing in September 2025, which one are you most excited for?
