While unveiling details about the fifth Expedition, Embark Studios confirmed that it is pausing the Arc Raiders Expeditions until early 2027. After listening to player feedback, Embark has put the brakes on Expeditions in Arc Raiders and promised improvements to the system to make it more rewarding and enjoyable.
Following the conclusion of Arc Raiders Expedition 4, Embark Studios announced details about the fifth Expedition today. At the same time, the devs confirmed that Expedition 5 will be the last Expedition until early 2027.
To address recurring issues with Arc Raiders Expeditions, such as tight departure windows, the lackluster reward structure, and poor accessibility for new players, Embark Studios is revamping the system. However, the devs need more time to implement these big improvements, hence the delay.
Unfortunately, Embark Studios hasn’t disclosed details about the new changes players can expect in Arc Raiders Expeditions. But the studio noted that it will share more information about the Expedition changes next month. The devs also recommend that players pull the trigger on departure if they are facing a dilemma, as this is an ideal time to do so.
Furthermore, if you are wondering whether you will lose all the buffs during the pause period, Embark has confirmed that any consecutive buffs you have previously earned will carry over and you won’t lose any progress.
