- Xbox's PlayStation Platinum Trophy equivalent, Mythic Achievements, is now officially live for Xbox Insiders.
- Completing all of a game's original achievements earns it Mythic status, excluding DLC achievements.
- Meanwhile, Xbox has added Mythic Achievements to all eligible titles, dating back to Xbox 360 games.
Last week, we got our first look at the Xbox Mythic Achievement through a new Xbox PC app update. Fast forward to today, Xbox has officially announced that the Xbox Mythic Achievements are now live for all Insiders, bringing the highly requested PlayStation Platinum Trophy equivalent to the platform.
How to Earn Xbox Mythic Achievement
According to a new Xbox Wire blog post, completing all of a game’s original achievements earns you a Mythic Achievement and grants the game Mythic status.
For example, if you’ve already earned all Forza Horizon 6 achievements on Xbox, you’ll earn Mythic status for it as soon as you update your console, given that you’re an Insider.
Furthermore, Xbox confirmed it will add Mythic Achievements to all eligible games you’ve already completed, going as far back as Xbox 360 titles. So, you may already see some games in your Xbox catalog with Mythic status.
Xbox is also adding a new Gaming tab for Xbox Insiders that showcases achievements, Gamerscore milestones, and Mythic Achievements across your games. You can also check which games your friends have earned Mythic status in.
How to Track Mythic Achievement Progress
Xbox now also makes it easier to track the headway you’ve made towards the Mythic achievement with a new progress bar at the top of each game’s achievement list.
For example, you can check out the recently released Minecraft Dungeons 2 achievements list on Xbox to see how it works. You can also filter your view to focus on the original achievements you still need to unlock.
Achievements added after launch will carry an “add-on” label, making it clear which ones count toward Mythic status. Xbox will also display this progress information throughout the platform, including in the Guide and Achievement details, so you can continue working toward your next Mythic Achievement.
That said, Gears of War E-Day’s achievements list is also showcased on the Xbox Wire blog, and it’s the first console exclusive to support Xbox Mythic Achievements at launch on October 6, 2026.
