While the OG players relived their memories, landing back onto Tomato Town or Tilted Towers, newer players who started their Fortnite journey with Chapter 2 got another chance to experience the classic BR. Is Fortnite Chapter 2 Map and Gameplay Coming Back in 2026?

Yes, Fortnite Chapter 2 is likely coming back in 2026, thanks to an early leak that revealed that OG mode will carry on the lineup of chapters and seasons that evolved BR gameplay. Players can expect the chapter to launch following a live event like the Butterfly event after OG Season 10.

To those unaware, Fortnite Chapter 2 featured a brand-new island, a rich storyline full of lore, and Midas made his debut. To say it was perfection wouldn’t be too far-fetched. With Fortnite OG currently in Season 9, the wait won’t be too long.

Epic will likely stick to what’s tried and tested, like the most recent leak regarding an upcoming mini-season to signal the end of Chapter 7. Besides, the community has also adjusted to these patterns, so a deviation may not bode well.

Once OG Season 10 has concluded, chronologically, Fortnite Chapter 2 should kick off. However, this is where we have no confirmation on the matter. Much like the rumors that Taylor Swift is coming to Fortnite, we can’t say for certain what will happen next.

Fortnite Chapter 2 OG Storyline Speculations

We can speculate that Epic Games will launch Fortnite Chapter 2 (OG) featuring known faces and factions such as E.G.O and A.L.T.E.R. However, we don’t know what the storyline would encompass. With the Metaverse being infinite, anything is possible.

I would bet that, much like the entirety of Fortnite OG, the new Chapter 2 could be “remixed” in subtle ways. Characters that appeared on the Battle Pass in the original Chapter 2 could return as new variants. We could even see Geno appear in this timeline to once more rule from the darkness.

The Imagined Order would once more rule the island, as they did in the past. Or perhaps, in this timeline, Jonesy managed to convince more agents to go rogue. By the time we reach Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5, we’ll see the entire IO disbanded and reformed under The Seven’s leadership.

Maybe we even manage to subdue the Cube Queen before she has a chance of invading. We could take the fight to Geno much sooner than expected. In this reality, The Seven would be backed by the Imagined Order and Doctor Slone.

But it must be said that since we’ve already had a Chapter 2 Remix, it’s hard to tell what’s next. For all we know, this timeline could have Gold Sprites in it. We could see the mechanic reused instead of vaulted.

With everything being said, Fortnite OG is slated to last until November 28, 2026. That’s still a long way off. We’re bound to get more information later this year about how things will end and what’s in store for Fortnite Chapter 2 (OG).
