28 Days Later might just be one of the most beloved franchises in the world, and while the original will always remain the GOAT, the franchise has been revived with 28 Years Later. Recently, we had a sequel to it titled 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.

While the first movie did not meet some of the fandom’s expectations, The Bone Temple did wonders at the box office and is now set to come out with a trilogy where Cillian Murphy is set to return in his original role of Jim. So, if you love horror movies, with a hint of emotional and thematic depth, you can watch 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple on Amazon Prime Video’s video on demand services. No Other Choice (Prime Video)

If dark comedies/thrillers tickle your nerves, No Other Choice is a fantastic watch for you. This movie revolves around a 25-year veteran paper company manager who was laid off due to certain upper management decisions. However, he loved his upper-middle-class lifestyle, and when he even tried to find a job that paid him enough to do that, he came up with a sinister plan.

He decided to murder a rival manager to create a job opening and then proceeded to kill off others who had applied for the job he wanted. This movie is a commentary on extreme capitalism wrapped in a layer of dark comedy and thrill. If you wish to indulge in this unique story, you can watch No Other Choice either on Amazon Prime Video or Apple TV’s video-on-demand service.

56 Days (Prime Video)

56 Days might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but once you get into it, it’s hard not to binge it. This show is an adaptation of Catherine Ryan Howard’s novel “56 Days”. The plot of this series revolves around Dove and Avan, who were strangers, but as soon as they met, they immediately sprang into a romance with each other.

However, after 56 Days of meeting each other, one of them ends up dead, and the other is the prime suspect of the investigation. This series is a blend of what one can call a steamy romantic show and an intense thriller. If you are into the vibe it has going on, you can stream 56 Days on Amazon Prime Video.

The Night Agent Season 3 (Netflix)

If you are a fenatic for spy thrillers, The Night Agent is one series that you should not miss by any chance. This show revolves around Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI agent who finds himself wrapped in a series of events that lead him to uncover serious conspiracies and dangerous missions where everyone’s safety is at stake.

This show is an absolute thrill to watch, and recently, Season 3 of The Night Agent has been released, so if you have not yet watched this show, it’s high time that you tune in because you are seriously missing out on some of the best action-spy thrillers available to stream on Netflix right now.

The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2 (Apple TV)

The Last Thing He Told Me is a a live action adaptation of a novel by Laura Dave. The story revolves around Hannah Hall, who is trying to build a relationship with her step-daughter Bailey to find out what happened to her husband, who disappeared due to something that connects him to a corporate fraud.

This series is somewhat of a slowburner, but if you sit through it, it is totally worth it. The Last Thing He Told Me has also come out with its Season 2, so if you have not yet watched the first season, this is the perfect time to binge it on Apple TV.

Murder in Glitterball City (HBO Max)

Murder in Glitterball City is a true crime docu-series with just 2 episodes that packs a rather interesting story. This documentary revolves around the murder of  Jamie Carroll, a Kentucky drag performer and hairdresser, killed in 2010.

The primary suspects in the murder were two of her romantic partners, named Joey Banis and Jeffrey Mundt, who blamed each other for the killing. While this true crime show might not be everyone’s cup of tea, if you enjoy watching the genre, this one will most certainly keep you entertained. Murder in Glitterball City is currently streaming on HBO Max.
