Upcoming weekend (March 14-15) brings several new titles to watch on streaming platforms. One such title that I am looking forward to is Rooster. The Office star Steve Carell will appear to serve us with his bizarre comedy. It has become the most-watched HBO comedy debut, with 2.5 million views so far. Then there is War Machine

New TV shows and Movies Streaming This weekend

So, I am fairly certain that you might have an idea by now regarding what you wish to watch, and to save you the trouble of finding out all the details of your choices, here are all the details you would need to know before you tune into the movie or show of your choice to watch this weekend.

Rooster (HBO Max)

Steve Carell is set to appear in a new HBO series titled Rooster, where he appears as a college professor who is trying to build a connection with his daughter while navigating through their complicated relationship. The series is created by Bill Lawrence, the creator of Ted Lasso, Scrubs, Shrinking, etc., so it goes without saying that this one is going to be a sentimental comedy, streaming on HBO Max.

One Piece Live Action Season 2

Anime fans unite! Greatest manga ever produced from the maestro Eiichiro Oda, One Piece, has returned with it with its second season. If you did not yet find time to binge-watch OPLA Season 2, which was released on March 10, this weekend is the perfect opportunity to do so. One Piece Season 2 brings Straw Hats Pirates to the Grand Line Adventure. One of the major reasons to watch One Piece Season 2 this weekend is the impeccable casting of the TV show.

If you have ready manga or watched the anime, you will be awestruck by the casting job and how close to the source material Netflix has reached this season. Check out our review of One Piece Live Action Season 2 if you are still doubtful.

Vladimir (Netflix)

Vladimir revolves around Rachel Weisz’s character, an English professor who becomes extremely obsessed with a handsome new colleague and throws her life into chaos. This uproots her marriage and causes serious damage to other aspects of her life. Looking at the trailers, this series is going to be a steamy, suspenseful show, and if you are someone who enjoys watching something with that description, it’s available to stream on Netflix.

DTF St. Louis (HBO)

If you are into dark comedies, DTF is one show that would truly tickle all the right nerves for you. This show brings in the talents of  David Harbour, Jason Bateman, Linda Cardellini, Richard Jenkins, and Joy Sunday.

This series revolves around the midlife crisis of middle aged men and women. Now, i don’t wish to spoil a lot about this show since it is mostly a suspense TV show, but this series will creep you out to an extent but if dark comedies are yout thing, this show will make you laugh, uncomfortable, and curious at the same time.

Young Sherlock (Prime Video)

Young Sherlock brings you the prequel story of Sherlock Holmes which takes us back to when he was 19 years old. This series is brought to us by Guy Ritchie and the effect of it is seen in how the story carries out. The series brings us one camplicated case where we see Sherlock Holmes sharpen his deduction skills and gradually turn into the master crime solver we are familiar with today. This series is a completely new story and does not follow any of the ones seen in the original novels.

War Machine (Netflix)

Alan Ritchson, before appearing in Reacher Season 4, has given us a brand new action movie where he appears as United States Ranger. War Machine takes us to a group of soldier who are conducting their final exercise following which, they will become Rangers. However, as the training proceeds, they encounter an unimaginable threat and what was supposed to be a new beginning, turns into a fight for survival.
