Trafalgar Law was one of the first people to confirm that the D clan members are the sworn enemies of the god. While that paints them as bad and blasphemous characters, the next statement from Imu cleared things up. Imu, the supreme and secret ruler of the world, mentioned that the D clan members are the enemies of the alliance. The twenty kingdoms that teamed up with Imu and dethroned Davy Jones, the king of the Great Kingdom in which Joy Boy was born.

As you can see here, the D clan members are the people who stood up against the creators who formed the World Government we know today. In the most recent chapter, Imu stated that ‘Elbaf belongs to the D clan.’ This isn’t exactly a surprise, as the Elbaf nation has always been associated with figures such as Nika, Joy Boy, etc. But Imu’s statement does make us wonder whether all the giants in Elbaf are D clan members.

The only giant we know who bears the initial D is Jaguar D. Saul. But even the giant man was unaware of the history behind the importance of D at first. When Rocks told the truth about his real name to King Harald, Harald also didn’t know the heritage of the D clan. Therefore, the Elbaf nation could be a part of the D clan, as they must have aided Joy Boy in the Great War previously.

The legendary warrior, Nika, better known as the Sun God, was not just a figure worshipped by the slaves and Buccaneers but also by the giants. Since the start of the Elbaf arc, it has been established that Nika is a revered figure in the homeland of giants. Although there are different versions of his tales in Elbaf, the giants worship him with all their hearts and even celebrate the Winter Solstice Festival for the Sun God. The latest Harley mural reveal deepened the connection between the Nika legend and the Elbaf nation further

When Dory and Brogy saw Luffy in his Gear 5 form for the first time during the Egghead incident, they immediately referred to him as Nika. Now, we know that Joy Boy was the previous user of the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika Devil Fruit before Luffy. Thus, he must have had a similar appearance to Luffy’s Gear 5. So, did the giants follow Joy Boy in the Great War due to their unwavering belief in Nika? It is highly likely, as Imu just said, Elbaf stands with the D clan in One Piece chapter 1171.

Now this brings us back to a shocking revelation that was made in the Reverie arc. A giant Straw Hat was found in a frozen state inside a vault in Mary Geoise, the Holy Land. Imu held a wanted poster of Luffy with his Straw Hat in front of the giant one. The fact that there are two different Straw Hats blew our minds back then and continues to make us ponder over who the giant Straw Hat belongs to.

With Imu confirming that Elbaf is tied to the D clan members and their will, we couldn’t help but wonder if there was a giant who was also a user of the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika devil fruit. Joy Boy’s silhouette reveal in the Egghead arc ruled out the option that he was a giant. That is why we are now pushed to consider another possibility where a giant becomes their revered figure, Nika. This character could have been the owner of the giant Straw Hat.

That is how things stand based on the latest reveals about the D clan and its connection to Elbaf. We will update our article once Oda discloses further information about their connection in the upcoming chapters. That said, how do you think the giants are related to the D clan?
