Will Taylor Swift Appear in Deadpool and Wolverine?

It is safe to assume that Deadpool 3 will be one of the biggest releases of 2024, considering the star-spangled cast set to appear in the movie. Leaving aside the confirmed cast members for Deadpool 3, the rumors floating around the character and cast appearances add to the hype. One of the biggest ones to surface recently is the rumored appearance of Taylor Swift as Dazzler in Deadpool 3.

Now, the question is how true is this claim? To find out, let’s analyze some pieces of evidence and statements to know if Taylor Swift is in Deadpool 3 or not.

Speculations of Taylor Swift’s appearance as Dazzler in Deadpool 3 gained momentum when she was spotted with the team of Deadpool 3. She was spotted with Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy at an early October NFL game.

When Shawn Levy was asked about all the celebrity appearance rumors in regards to Deadpool 3 by Entertainment Weekly, he stated,

“I’d rather not weigh in on that, but I’ll say this. The rumors of actors, singers, [and] sports stars who are all apparently in Deadpool 3 are fabulous. If all I read was the internet, I would have the greatest cast ever assembled in the history of cinema, so I’ll simply say that some of those rumors are true, and some of them aren’t.”

In another statement (via The Wrap) in response to queries about the appearance of Taylor Swift in Deadpool 3, Shawn said, “I’m going across the board. No comment because that’s a double whammy. That’s Taylor-related. And it’s MCU-related. I’m no dummy. You’re going to have to wait and see.” So, Shawn neither confirmed nor denied the appearance of Swift in Deadpool 3, leaving the question unanswered.

On top of that, a recently released album by Taylor Swift titled The Tortured Poets Department features a song titled “Clara Bow“. Now fans of Taylor Swift pointing towards the lyrics that include “the future’s bright, dazzling” are speculating that this can be a subtle tease towards her appearance in Deadpool and Wolverine ad Dazzler. Now this is mere speculation but you never know what turns out to be true and what does not so let’s wait and see!

However, the quest of seeking answers did not end there. To find out the truth about Taylor Swift’s appearance, The Vancouver Sun approached the face of Deadpool 3, Ryan Reynolds himself. When asked about this, Reynolds stated,

“I think it is a sign of how eager people are to get a peek behind the curtain in this world. Every single one of these secrets and spoilers will be revealed on July 26.”

If we look at everything from tweets to public appearances and statements, neither Ryan Reynolds nor Shawn Levy have explicitly denied Taylor Swift’s appearance in Deadpool 3. Yes, they haven’t confirmed it yet as well, but as far as I think, considering the huge hype around her appearance, if Taylor was not a part of the movie, she would have said it by now.

So, for the time being, I think we have a good chance of Taylor showing up as Dazzler in Deadpool 3. Now all that is left to do is to see if this assumption is true or not on July 26, 2024.
