All Elden Ring Movie Set Photos and Leaks So Far

Queen Marika

Easily the most exciting leak from the Elden Ring movie set photos comes from the fact that Queen Marika (played by Emma Laird) seems to be portraying an active role in the story. Unlike the game, where Marika’s absence from the plot is a huge catalyst for the events that transpire, the God Queen can be seen interacting with multiple characters from Elden Ring lore on the movie’s sets.

This can only mean that the Elden Ring movie is taking us back to the time before the Shattering. The movie could be dealing with the events that led up to the cataclysmic war, and how Marika and her offspring dealt with the weight of her godhood.

The prequel theory is further amplified by the latest leaked set photos, which show us Marika walking alongside a child with horns sprouting on his head. This could be Morgott as a child, before he got banished to the Subterranean Shunning Grounds and grew into one of the most formidable Elden Ring bosses.

Dung Eater’s Execution

Other Elden Ring movie set photos reveal that everyone’s not-so-favourite side villain from the game, Dung Eater, is also set to make an appearance in the Elden Ring movie. Leaked photos show the Dung Eater’s execution, which happens before the events of the game. People can be seen pelting and hurling waste at the Dung Eater’s hanging body, with armor that looks like it’s ripped straight out of the game.

While seeing the Dung Eater suffer is a treat for any Elden Ring lore fan, another leak also shows Marika visiting the Dung Eater at the sight of his hanging. This is an event that is not referenced or even hinted at in the game’s lore, so the interaction could be an original idea from Alex Garland.

Kit Connor’s Character

Apart from Marika, the only character that we have seen from the Elden Ring movie cast so far is Kit Connor. The Elden Ring movie set photos reveal him wearing a garb that seems fitting for the aesthetic, without much knowledge about his character. His character can even be seen at the Dung Eater’s execution, hinting at a possible key role in the story.

Some fans believe he could be playing one of Godfrey’s Tarnished warriors. This is still quite speculative and does not explain why a random Tarnished would be at the Dung Eater’s execution. However, since the movie is an adaptation, Alex Garland could be taking some creative liberties to establish the main character of the game throughout the movie.
