In a recent development, D2M technology will soon be tested in India. This new broadcasting tech will allow people to stream content on their mobile devices without being connected to internet services. It will use the LMRS (Land to Mobile Radio System) which is currently used for emergency broadcasts and for broadcasting educational and entertainment content as well. This could also prove beneficial for the people to stay in touch with the government in the face of a satellite failure or a national emergency.
