In Short
  • Stranger Things Season 5 tells us that Vecna needs Will to do something.
  • According to theories, Vecna could use the connection Will has with him to kill Eleven.
  • Another theory suggests that Vecna could turn Will into Kas.

Stranger Things Season 5 is right around the corner, and as we all know, this season is going to be the last time we get to visit Hawkins. Considering this, it is only natural for people to be highly anticipating the upcoming season. Now, the trailer, which was released recently, has taken that excitement and anticipation to a brand new level, but there is something that the fandom needs answers to as soon as possible. The question I am referring to is what does Vecna mean when he said that he needs one last help from Will? Well, we do have some theories about it.

Stranger Things Season 4 established it pretty well that Will has an involuntary connection to Vecna, and he can sense his presence. Now, in Stranger Things Season 5, there is a chance that the help from Will, Vecna refers to to has something to do with killing Eleven. At this point, we are all aware of how strong Eleven is; however, her biggest vulnerability is the people she holds dear. Vecna could use the connection he has with Will to somehow get Eleven in harm’s way.

Another theory that sounds plausible is that Vecna could turn Will into Kas. Previously, this theory was related to Eddie, but now, looking at the scene in the trailer, it could turn out to be Will, and considering that in D&D lore, Kas betrays Vecna, this could be the artistic liberty they take for Stranger Things Season 5. If you are interested about the Kas Eddie theory, we have explored it as well.

Now, these theories are purely based on circumstantial evidence and could turn out to be inaccurate, so, for the time being, take them with a grain of salt, and if we come across something more substantial, we will let you in on it ASAP.
