Stranger Things Season 5 is around the corner, and judging by all the hype, it’s guaranteed to break the internet. While fans are excited to meet their favourite characters for one last time, they are also eagerly awaiting the final chapter to unravel the mysteries that have been built over the years. So, here, we discuss five questions that Stranger Things Season 5 will finally answer.
1. Why Will Byers Was Chosen?
Will Byers was abducted by the Demogorgon in Stranger Things Season 1. But do you think it was a random kidnapping? If yes, I think you might be wrong. It’s been a decade since our boy first disappeared and then returned. Even after making it to the real world, Will couldn’t live freely; he started getting visions of The Upside Down and the Mind Flayers. It sparked debate among the fans worldwide, but no one could find a solid answer because the television show never revealed anything.
However, the first five minutes of Stranger Things Season 5 on November 6 showed that the final chapter will open up with Will’s first confrontation with Vecna in the Upside Down. So, let’s expect to see the fifth installment to reveal why Vecna chose Will Byers or what attracted the deadly villain to the boy.
2. What Is the Upside Down Exactly?
Now this one is the long-standing question that every Stranger Things fan deserves to know. The first season revealed that something eerie lies beneath the town of Hawkins. However, nothing major was revealed until Season 4. Well, we still don’t know exactly what Upside Down is; is it a physical world or a psychic realm that came into existence when human experimentations went wrong? We learned in the previous season that Eleven mistakenly opened the first gate, which contributed to Henry’s transformation into Vecna.
Now that Season 5 is almost here, let’s expect it to show us the origin of the Upside Down. I mean, did the parallel dimension exist before Henry Creel got into it, or was it Henry who created it from scratch? If not, what was it like before his arrival? There are many questions about this corrupted dimension in everyone’s head that Stranger Things Season 5 surely will answer.
3. Will Max Survive and Reunite With Her Friends?
Vecna injured Max in the fourth season and almost killed her. Eleven brought her back to life, but sadly, she can’t help Max from going into a coma. Max has been a crucial member of the Party since her introduction in Season 2. So, now every fan wants to see how the story will unfold for their beloved Maxine Mayfield. Will Eleven enter her mind once again to save her, or will Max herself fight for her life from within? Stranger Things Season 5 is expected to be the most emotionally draining installment of the television show, and Max’s fate will play an integral role in the emotional core.
4. Is Vecna the Ultimate Villain of Stranger Things?
Stranger Things Season 4 positioned Vecna as the mastermind, or let’s say the orchestrator of the Upside Down. He emerged as the controller of the Mind Flayers, Demogorgons, and every creature that haunted Hawkins. However, I am pretty sure that none of us can say that he is the ultimate villain of the series, because, you know, when it comes to Stranger Things, nothing is predictable. So, only Season 5 can clarify whether Vecna is the only one who needs to be defeated to restore Hawkins, or if a pre-existing force sits atop the hierarchy.
5. Where Are Dr. Brenner’s Other Test Subjects?
We are acquainted with only a few test subjects of Dr. Brenner. These include One, aka Henry Creel, Eight, Ten, and Eleven, of course. So, did you ever wonder where Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Nine, and others are? Stranger Things Season 5 might offer answers and let us find out whether the subjects mentioned above died or survived the fall of the Hawkins Lab. If they managed to escape, where are they now? If any of them is out there, we might get to see them playing integral roles in the final battle of Stranger Things. They might either join forces with Eleven or might also appear as adversaries to our lead heroine.
