Pokemon GO Yveltal Weaknesses
If you’ve previously taken part in a five-star Pokemon GO raid, you know the rules of engagement already. For those unaware, we will be tapping into the primary Yveltal weaknesses to put it in a corner.
Yveltal’s weaknesses include being weak against Electric, Fairy, Rock, and Ice Pokemon. So make sure to bring these handy Pokemon along.
Since Yveltal is a Dark/Flying Pokemon, its resistances include Ghost, Psychic, Bug, Fighting, and Grass-type Pokemon. Hence, avoid bringing any Pokemon that belongs to that list.
Best Yveltal Counters
To counter a Yveltal during the Pokemon GO Raid, you must bring a few Pokemon that are best suited for fighting against them. As such, the best Yveltal counters are:
- Gardevoir or Mega Gardevoir: Charm and Dazzling Gleam
- Tyranitar or Mega Tyranitar: Smack Down and Stone Edge
- Aerodactyle or Mega Aerodactyle: Rock Throw and Rock Slide
- Ampharos or Mega Ampharos: Charge Beam and Zap Cannon
- Glalie or Mega Glalie: Frost Breath and Avalanche
- Xurkitree: Thunder Shock and Discharge
It would be best to consider bringing over Gardevoir, Tyranitar, or Aerodactyle out of these six Pokemon. If you have the Mega variant, it is even better. Each of their attacks directly counters Yveltal, giving you a better winning chance against the Pokemon.
How to Get Yveltal in Pokemon GO
Like previous Mega raids, you cannot catch Yveltal directly from the Raid. Instead, defeating it in the Raid is the only way to get Yveltal in Pokemon GO. After you join a Mega Raid using a Raid Pass, try defeating the Pokemon. Since this is a 5-star Raid, you must enter it with other friends and players.
