After rolling out the OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.6 OTA (over-the-air) update for users in Europe and other countries, OnePlus has finally brought the update to India as well starting today.
Te OTA update, which weighs in at 223MB, brings along portrait mode to the front camera, fixes dual-SIM stability issues, adds battery percentage icon to the status bar, and other performance improvements, which you can see below. The only India-centric upgrade here is the addition of Idea Cellular VoLTE service support.
Portrait Selfies
Easily the most-awaited feature for the OnePlus 6, now you can click blurred background portrait shots through the front camera of the phone. Not only that, the rear-camera portrait mode has also bagged a minor upgrade and you can now preview the light bokeh effect in real-time (similar to Live Bokeh on Nokia 7 plus) on the OnePlus 6.
Battery Percentage
OnePlus 6 has also added the ability to show the battery percentage indicator in the status bar. It was moved in the notification shade to save space around the notch, but OnePlus listened to the community and added the same back to the status bar with this OxygenOS update.
Other Changes
Other changes include the ability to schedule do-not-disturb (DND) mode, adjust the dual-4G network options and optimize the call quality.
OnePlus has even updated its Earphone Mode settings to now allow you to automatically attend calls when you have a Bluetooth headset hooked to the device.
So, doesn’t this update make the OnePlus 6 an even more powerful beast now? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
