NYT Strands Hints and Answers for March 26, 2024

We are back to scratching our heads and solving a game of Strands. Today’s theme was one of my favorites and turned out to be magically easy to get through. Once a couple of theme words were unveiled, the Spangram became easier to spot. That said, let’s not waste time and look at the hints, answers, and Spangram for NYT Strands on March 26, 2024.

What is the Theme for Today’s NYT Strands?

As revealed by the New York Times, the theme for today’s Strands is “That’s fantastic”.

There’s a lot to today’s theme than meets the eye. Don’t limit yourself into thinking of all that it could quire possibly mean. Start marking unrelated words, and be on the lookout for potential theme words that could directly connect with the theme. That’s how I go about it, and try to connect the dots.

Spangram Hint for Today’s Strands

Spoiler Warning #1 Even though we try our best to be subtle, the hints below might partially spoil the experience. You’ve been warned.

When it comes to Strands, there are two categories of words in the game. The Spangrams are the ones you should target first, and the remaining are regular theme words that fall under it.

Every Strands game has one Spangram that you need to decipher. Think of it as the main theme of the puzzle. To help you with it, here’s a hint for today’s Spangram – “legendary creatures of epic lores”.

Theme Words Hints for Today’s Strands

Now, if you have figured out the Spangram from the above hint, figuring out the theme words will understandably be fairly easy. However, I don’t want to ruin it for you. Instead, here are hints to 2 out of 6 theme words that may help you:

• Hint #1: The flying fire breather
• Hint #2: She lives underwater

Spangram Answer for NYT Strands on March 26

The Spangram for today’s NYT Strands is MYTHOLOGICAL.

Apart from the Spangram, you need to find 6 theme words in today’s puzzle. The highest number of theme words, that is 8, in Strands was spotted on March 16.

Anyway, with that being said, let’s go to the next section. However, proceed only if you are ready to check out the theme words.

List of Theme Words for NYT Strands on March 26

If you have scrolled this far, you are probably ready to see the answers. So, let’s take a look at today’s theme words in Strands:

• FAIRY
• OGRE
• CYCLOPS
• DRAGON
• CENTAUR
• MERMAID

The theme definitely did throw me off a bit at first. However, when clueless and marking every word I could find, I came across FAIRY at the bottom right corner. When it turned out to be the theme word, the fantasy nerd in me knew what the game was about today. Soon, I found DRAGON at the top and OGRE in the top left corner.

With these words in the bag, I took the wraps off MYTHOLOGICAL as the top to bottom Spangram. The rest of the words came easy to me, and it was not long before MERMAID and CYCLOPS appeared on the board. With that, only the few grids at the top right corner were left to be solved. Figured they formed CENTAUR, and that was the end of today’s game.

So, another NYT Strands solved with zero hints used. Woah, we are definitely on a roll here! If I hadn’t accidentally come across FAIRY, it would have been slightly more challenging.
