NYT Strands Hints and Answers for March 25, 2024

Welcome back to another game of Strands! If the stars align today, you will be able to find the theme words in no time. Today’s puzzle is a piece of cake once you spot the Spangram, so be on the lookout for it. That said, let’s not waste time and look at the hints, answers, and Spangram for NYT Strands on March 25, 2024.

What is the Theme for Today’s NYT Strands?

As revealed by the New York Times, the theme for today’s Strands is “Sign Language”.

As expected, the theme today is also disguised with an additional word to throw you off while you start guessing the theme words. So, as a tip for new players, don’t hesitate in marking non-theme words as they might give you a breakthrough when you least expect it. That was the case with me today.

Spangram Hint for Today’s Strands

When it comes to Strands, there are two categories of words in the game. The Spangrams are the ones you should target first, especially today, and the remaining are regular theme words that fall under it.

Every Strands game has one Spangram that you need to decipher. Think of it as the main theme of the puzzle. To help you with it, here’s a hint for today’s Spangram – “forecast the future”.

Theme Words Hints for Today’s Strands

Now, if you have figured out the Spangram from the above hint, figuring out the theme words will understandably be fairly easy. However, I don’t want to ruin it for you. Instead, here are hints to 2 out of 7 theme words that may help you:

• Hint #1: animal related to darts
• Hint #2: used to weigh things

Spangram Answer for NYT Strands on March 25

The Spangram for today’s NYT Strands is ASTROLOGY, which runs from the bottom to the top.

Apart from the Spangram, you need to find 7 theme words in today’s puzzle. The highest number of theme words, that is 8, in Strands so far was spotted on March 16.

Anyway, with that being said, let’s go to the next section. However, proceed only if you are ready to check out the theme words.

List of Theme Words for NYT Strands on March 25

If you have scrolled this far, you are probably ready to see the answers. So, let’s take a look at today’s theme words in Strands:

• BULL
• GOAT
• TWINS
• ARCHER
• SCORPION
• VIRGIN
• SCALES

Starting, I randomly spotted BULL at the top right, and it turned out to be a theme word. It did not help me understand the theme though. A few non-theme words later, I spotted GOAT at the bottom right as the next theme word. This revealed to me what today’s theme might be, but I was wrong.

After going through a bunch of non-theme words, I reluctantly took a hint and got the word TWINS at the bottom right. Next to it, I spotted ARCHER and knew the Spangram was vertical today, which I then started looking for and instantly found. With ASTROLOGY in the bag, it was easy to find the remaining words in order – SCORPION, VIRGIN, and SCALES.

The “sign” in today’s theme hint referred to astrological signs. I just couldn’t guess that from BULL and GOAT.
