OnePlus has not been shying away from dropping hints about the upcoming OnePlus 6, and the phone will be available for ‘registration’ tonight with the Notify Me button going live on Amazon India.
The company recently entered a partnership with Disney and Marvel over the release of Avengers: Infinity War on April 27, so the phone could launch at the same time too.
Starting 12AM tonight i.e. midnight on April 22, the OnePlus 6 will be available for “Notify Me” on Amazon India. Amazon India is not likely to share any details about the device or reveal it before the launch, but the option lets you get alerts about the sale or pre-order status of the phone, whenever that is live.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will feature a Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM, and storage options that go up to 256GB. While the smartphone will be the same in terms of dimensions as the OnePlus 5T, it will feature a bigger screen with a dedicated cut-out for the iPhone X-like notch.
As per the email received by Beebom, the OnePlus promises OnePlus 6 users a “burdenless experience” that is the result of “an acute understanding of the relationship between the user and the device“.
The Amazon “notify me” option has been one of the leading factors for the success of earlier OnePlus smartphones like the OnePlus 5T. Amazon India reportedly received more than a million registrations within a week before the device’s launch back in November.
Although Amazon had also given away a free OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition and 100 tickets to the latest Star Wars movie with the earlier smartphone, it has not revealed details about a similar giveaway for the OnePlus 6. The company is, nevertheless, partnering with Disney for an Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 and we might see details cropping up after the Notify Me goes live.
