10 Most Powerful Characters in Gen V, Ranked

Prime Video’s Gen V didn’t just give us a “bloody” good spin-off to The Boys, it introduced us to an entirely new roster of supes that quickly turned Godolkin University into one of the most dangerous places on Earth. These students aren’t just aspiring heroes; they’re walking weapons with powers that can rival even the deadliest members of The Seven. With Season 2 already teasing even more chaos, it’s time to rank the 10 most powerful supes in Gen V based on what we’ve actually seen so far. And yes, I’m sticking strictly to Gen V characters here, so no Homelander fly-ins or cameos muddying the list. Let’s dive in.

10. Emma Meyer / Little Cricket

Don’t let her bubbly personality fool you; Emma’s shrinking ability is deadly in the right situation. She can shrink down to insect size, slip past defenses, and take enemies down in ways no one expects. We’ve already seen her go full Ant-Man-mode with brutal creativity, and the psychological warfare of not knowing where she might strike next is huge. The downside? Her power is closely tied to her metabolism and emotional state, making her unpredictable. Still, her versatility pushes her higher than you’d expect.

9. Jordan Li

Jordan’s dual-gender shapeshifting ability is one of the most unique powers in Gen V. They can switch between male and female forms at will, with each form granting distinct combat advantages: enhanced strength in one, durability and energy projection in the other. This adaptability makes Jordan a nightmare in battle, as opponents can never predict what’s coming next. However, their power doesn’t fully dominate large-scale battles, which keeps them at this mid-level rank.

8. Maverick

Maverick, the son of Translucent, has inherited his father’s invisibility powers and taken them to another level. Unlike his dad, he seems far more comfortable using stealth to manipulate situations around him. While invisibility doesn’t sound as flashy as mind control or metal-bending, Maverick’s ability to disappear at will makes him a dangerous wildcard. In a fight, he might not be the strongest, but Maverick could dominate in defence and easily outmaneuver most of his peers.

7. Andre Anderson

Even though Andre Anderson will not appear in Gen V Season 2, this character deserves a place on the list. Andre’s metal-bending powers made him incredibly versatile, giving him control over weapons, structures, and even vehicles if they’re made of metal, which they generally are. Think of him as Magneto-lite, only without decades of experience or complete mastery.

While his abilities gave him solid offensive and defensive potential, Andre struggled with control and often got nosebleeds and dizzy spells after pushing himself too far, and that inconsistency keeps him at the bottom of this list.

6. Polarity

Andre’s father, Polarity, shows us what long-term mastery of magnetic abilities looks like. Unlike his son, Polarity has decades of experience manipulating metal with precision and raw power. While age and health issues are catching up with him, Polarity still demonstrates that with enough control and discipline, this ability can dominate a battlefield. His ranking here is more a nod to his established skill and influence, even if his physical body is starting to give way.

5. Rufus

Rufus might not look like the most powerful character in Gen V, but his powers put him in a category that’s both dangerous and deeply unsettling. He’s a psychic with the ability to hypnotize and control people, taking away their free will and making them his puppets. In Gen V, Rufus uses this power for all the wrong things, which paints him as one of the more disturbing characters in the show.

What makes him stand out isn’t physical strength or flashy abilities but the psychological dominance he can exert over others. If left unchecked, Rufus could manipulate entire groups without them even realizing what’s happening, which makes him a very dangerous supe.

4. Sam Riordan

Sam Riordan, the brother of Luke aka Golden Boy, turned out to be more of a threat than we initially assumed. When unhinged, Sam taps into a level of strength and brutality that makes him almost impossible to contain. We’ve already seen him rip through opponents with zero hesitation, and Gen V Season 2 teases an even darker, more powerful side to him.

3. Cate Dunlap

Cate’s mind-control ability is the stuff of nightmares. A single touch, and she can make you do anything she wants, whether it’s handing over your darkest secrets or committing outright murder. However, her powers come with serious drawbacks.

Extended use gives her migraines, nosebleeds, and even puts her in comas if she pushes too hard. Plus, she needs physical contact, which makes her vulnerable in combat. Still, Cate’s power is terrifying when used strategically, especially against anyone who lets their guard down, and we all most definitely remember what happened to Frenchie.

2. Luke Riordan / Golden Boy

Golden Boy was the shining star of Godolkin for a reason. His fiery powers, combined with near-invulnerability and flight, made him the closest thing Gen V had to a Homelander-level supe. Luke could incinerate enemies in seconds and dominate any fight he entered.

His tragic death doesn’t erase the fact that Luke was the most powerful supe introduced in Gen V so far. No one else matches his mix of raw destructive ability and battlefield dominance. The only reason Golden Boy is ranked second here is because of his death, or he was easily the most powerful character we have seen in Gen V.

1. Marie Moreau

Marie Moreau’s journey from an outcast with a terrifyingly misunderstood power to being hailed as the most powerful character in Gen V is nothing short of wild. By the end of Season 1, we already knew that her blood manipulation powers were versatile and lethal.

But now, with the trailer for Gen V Season 2 outright calling her the most powerful supe in the world, the stakes around her have skyrocketed. Unlike most supes, Marie’s abilities aren’t limited to brute force; she can control, weaponize, and even heal with blood, which makes her a one-woman arsenal with no obvious counter.

Such a title hints at just how pivotal she’s going to be moving forward, and honestly, it cements her as not just the top dog at Godolkin but potentially the biggest player in the entire Boys universe. So, with that, here’s my opinion on the top 10 strongest characters in Gen V, but if you’ve got some ideas of your own, feel free to let us know in the comments!
