  • New Game Mode: 6V1 PvP Mode Centered Around Loki
  • New Costume: Loki ‘Avengers 2012’ Skin

The Marvel Rivals Avengers, or “Path to Doomsday” event, will officially kick off in April, starting with new content in Season 7.5. This includes a brand-new 6v1 asymmetrical game mode centered around Loki, where one player uses the trickster while others pick between different heroes. Loki is equipped with an all-new skill set, combining deception, illusions, and powerful Infinity Stone abilities to turn enemies against each other, similar to events in Marvel Studios’ The Avengers.

He’ll also be able to manipulate enemy heroes in battle using mind control and summon versions of the six heroes he commands to join the battlefield to defeat other players. For assistance, the heroes can summon the Hulk to recreate the iconic Stark Tower “Puny God” scene from the first Avengers film.

June – Avengers: Age of Ultron Content

  • New Hero: Vision (Unconfirmed)
  • New Costume: Ultron ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Skin (Unconfirmed)

We’re officially in speculation territory now, folks. Netease has revealed nothing beyond the Avengers 2012 content for the Marvel Rivals “Path to Doomsday” roadmap, which means that everything you’ll see from this point on are calculated guess from our end. Since the collaboration appears to be celebrating every Avengers movie with content crafted around its narrative, it’s safe to assume that we’ll see Ultron’s look from the MCU in June.

There’s also a chance that Vision will finally join the Marvel Rivals roster since the character made his MCU debut in Age of Ultron.

August – Avengers: Infinity War Content

  • New Hero: Thanos (Unconfirmed)
  • New Costumes: Infinity War-Themed Skins (Unconfirmed)
  • New Game Mode

The Marvel Rivals Avengers roadmap will get into its stride come August, as we’ll be treated to Infinity War-themed content. Many fans regard the 2018 film as the greatest MCU flick of all time, and as such, you can expect Netease to go big with the celebrations. Will we finally see the highly-requested debut of Thanos in the chronoverse? Only time will tell, but there really is no better time for the Mad Titan to make his arrival.

October – Avengers: Endgame Content

  • New Costumes: Avengers: Endgame-Themed Skins (Unconfirmed)
  • New Game Mode

Avengers: Endgame saw the bittersweet conclusion of the Infinity Saga, but for Marvel Rivals, this event will set the pace for Doomsday. Fans can safely look forward to Endgame-themed content in October, which will likely include Iron Man’s costume from the movie. It’s hard to say who this update will introduce a new hero, but our money’s on Captain Marvel.

December 18 – Avengers: Doomsday Content

  • New Hero: Doctor Doom (Unconfirmed)
  • New Times Square Hub Content (Unconfirmed)
  • New Game Mode

December 18 is what the entire Marvel Rivals Avengers roadmap is building towards. To mark the release of Avengers: Doomsday in theatres, Netease will be “fully igniting the battlefield with all-new in-game content” in the hero shooter. The roadmap’s announcement specifically emphasizes December as a major update month, so it’s safe to say that the devs will be swinging for the fences.

Just to reiterate, there’s no official word on what we can expect. But given the hype around the final leg of the Avengers collaboration, as well as the release of Doomsday, there’s a decent chance that Doctor Doom will finally join the action as a playable character. Outside of this, we also expect some sort of Doomsday countdown timer to kick off in the Times Square map a few days before the update.

And that covers everything we know about the Marvel Rivals Avengers event roadmap thus far. We’ll be updating this article as soon as new information is revealed, so be sure to revisit.
