Leveling up in Fisch takes time, especially when you are trying to keep up with the latest content that the devs release every other week. And with each update, you will have more powerful rods to unlock that require a higher level. In this guide, we will tell you how to level up fast in Fisch.
Get Your First Rod Upgrades
Before you start grinding, make sure to redeem all the active Fisch codes. This will give you a decent head start.
- Start by fishing around Moosewood with the Flimsy Rod.
- Once you can afford a rowboat (which costs 400C$), travel to Roslit Bay and find the Orc NPC behind the island.
- He asks you to catch a pufferfish and rewards you with the Magma Rod. It gives you 45% lure speed and 55% luck, making it a decent upgrade to start with.
Next, your goal is to travel to the latest FischFright 3 event island. To get here, travel back to Moosewood and board the green glowing Flying Dutchman ship and set sail. Once you are here, head into the Bat Cave to find Webby Winston. Complete these quests:
- Trick-or-treat at every house
- Catch 10 Webbed Fish
- Catch 15 Cobweb Fish
You can fish near the bridge where he is standing.
Completing these tasks will reward you with 1,000 treats, which you can use to unlock the Webweaver Rod. It comes with 125% lure speed and 250% luck, which is a massive upgrade. Its spiders can catch extra fish with the Web mutation, making it useful for earning XP.
You can also work towards the Eldritch Rod. Goblins spawn on random islands roughly every 5 minutes and offer quests that reward ingredients. You can submit those ingredients into the witch’s cauldron and increase your hex level.
Upgrade Your Equipment
Before proceeding further, make sure you have the basic gear like a glider, boots, and a magic mirror. These things can make your fishing way better, and you can level up pretty quickly.
Glider
There are certain locations that you cannot travel to; this is where the glider comes in handy. Follow these steps to get one:
- Travel to the Northern Expedition.
- Head up to the Glacial Grotto camp.
- Purchase the Advanced Glider for 10,000C$.
This makes it easier for you to travel to areas you could normally not explore.
Boots
To get boots, you need to complete Dr. Crookspine’s quest. Follow these steps to complete it:
- Head towards the oil rig north of Roslit Bay and climb up.
- Find the laboratory and talk to Dr. Crookspine.
- He will ask you to catch Boots, Rocket Fuel (Mushgrove Swamp), and a Speed Core (Sunstone Island).
- Once done, return to Dr. Crookspine and claim your GlimmerSuit Boots.
The GlimmerSuit Boots in Fisch increase your walk speed by +10, making exploring way faster.
Magic Mirror
The magic mirror is another useful piece of equipment that you need in order to make your fishing way easy. Upon using it, you will be directly teleported to Moosewood Island, where you can start your journey again without roaming around in the ocean.
To get it, you need to find the travelling merchant and buy it directly for 150,000C$. You can further upgrade it into the Mystic Mirror in Fisch.
Once you have all these items, you can continue your grind.
Use the Web Reaver to Farm XP
What makes the Web Reaver the best XP farming rod is its passive ability that spawns spiders that catch fish for you. To make even more EXP, you can focus on fishing for Grandpa Horseshoe Crab in the Desolate Deep until you reach level 220. Before starting, make sure to apply the Vile enchantment to increase the number of spiders.
Once you reach level 220, travel to the Northern Summit and purchase the Heaven’s Rod. You need the blue, green, yellow, and red energy crystals to access it.

Keep using the Web Reaver to level up until you reach level 250.
Get the Great Rod of Oscar
At level 250, head to Forsaken Shores and find the NPC beneath the skull. Complete his quest and follow the treasure coordinates to unlock the Great Rod of Oscar, which costs 2.5 million C$.
This rod offers better control and resilience than the Web Reaver and comes with a 1.35x XP multiplier.
Though this rod is good for EXP, you can keep fishing and farming levels while making money. You can also focus on unlocking the Omniscient Spinecaster Rod, a limited-time Fischfright 3 rod.
Tips to Level Up Faster in Fisch
- Use XP-boosting rods like the Web Reaver and Great Rod of Oscar.
- Use enchantments like clever (×2.25 XP) or wise (×1.2 XP) to increase your XP gains while fishing.
- Web Reaver’s spiders catch additional fish, giving you more XP.
- You can also buy the Double XP boost at the shop for 75 Robux.
