Himawari X Inojin Ship Is Blooming in Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 26

Like other shonen titles, Boruto doesn’t solely focus on the romance between its characters. However, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga has room for budding romances just like its parent series, Naruto, did back then. The most recent chapters of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga lean towards the romance side, where Sumire and Sarada Uchiha confessed their feelings for Boruto. Alongside this, the beloved Inojin x Himawari pairing fans dreamed of is becoming a reality in chapter 26 of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.

Spoilers Warning: This article contains spoilers about Himawari and Inojin’s relationship. Proceed with caution.

If you have been following the Boruto series for a long time, you must have felt the budding connection between Himawari (Naruto and Hinata’s Daughter) and Inojin (Sai and Ino’s son). Both share an incredible passion for creating art and inspire each other to become better. However, most of those moments between them were anime originals only, which left the fans yearning to see the InoHima becoming canon in the Boruto manga.

When the sequel manga, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, began, the potential romance between Himawari and Ino started to spark in ways we never saw before, especially when Jura and the Human God Trees infiltrated Konoha. When Jura confronted Himawari while searching for Naruto, Inojin stepped in front of her to protect her, even though he was nowhere near strong enough to stand against the overwhelming power of Jura.

This act of protection resulted in Jura’s Wood Release piercing right through Inojin. Ultimately, Himawari awakened her inner Kurama powers upon seeing her beloved friend losing his life while protecting her.

Even Jura wondered what made Inojin step up and save Himawari despite being in a disadvantageous situation. Fortunately, Inojin survived the life-ending attack and recovered with Sakura’s healing powers.

Inojin Subtly Confesses His Feelings For Himawari

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 26 opens up with Inojin visiting Himawari and surprising her with her favorite honey. Himawari points out that this honey is one of the most sought-after items in Konoha and is always sold out whenever she tries to get one. Yet, Inojin somehow got his hands on one and gifted it to her, making Himawari overjoyed.

On his way back, Kashin Koji’s toad stops Inojin to ask the one question fans have always wanted to ask. The toad asks whether Inojin has feelings for Himawari. Of course, Inojin tried to dismiss the rumor and brush off the question like any person in love would do. In fact, it wasn’t a question, and Inojin’s blushing face told the whole story of his feelings.

When the toad further asks if he wants to protect Himawari, Inojin’s answer was a firm yes without any hesitation. That’s all Kashin Koji wanted to know, and given that they shared the same goals, Koji used the toad to bring Inojin to his location. Boruto and Kashin needed Inojin for his sensory skills, but that’s another story.

The main highlight here is Inojin indirectly admitting his feelings for Himawari. It seems that Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto continue to flesh out the romance that the anime built years ago. On the other hand, an unusual love triangle between Boruto, Sarada, and Sumire is also building up. Nevertheless, InoHima, one of the popular ships among Boruto fans, is finally becoming a reality in the series.
