Yanfei Kit and Best Rotation
Yanfei is an on-field Pyro DPS with her kit focused on her Normal and Charged attacks. Yanfei’s kit and build can be tuned towards both Vape, Overvape or the Burgeaon Elemental reaction. Whenever Yanfei hits an enemy with her Normal attack, she gains a stack of Scarlet Seal, which can then be consumed when using her Charged attack to increase the damage and AoE of the attack. Consuming the Scarlet Seals during her Charged Attack also grants her Pyro damage bonus (5% for each stack, max 3 stacks).
One thing to keep in mind is that her Charged attack takes time to cast, so running, jumping, or getting can interrupt it. For her Elemental Burst, she deals a high Pyro AoE damage, gets max Scarlet Seal stacks, and additionally gets a Scarlet Seal stack every fixed interval. The Elemental Burst also increases the charged attack damage for a brief period, so after using her Elemental Burst, Yanfei can keep spamming her Charged Attack to deal the most damage to enemies.

For her Burgeon build, you need to focus on Artifacts that boost Yanfei’s Elemental Mastery. The 4-piece Flower of Paradise is the best Artifact set for Burgeon reactions, as it increases Elemental Mastery by 28, and further increases the damage of Burgeon reactions. Other than that, the 4-piece Gilded Dreams is also a great option for Yanfei, as it increases Elemental Mastery by quite a lot for the wearer.
Best Yanfei Build: Main and Sub-Stats Priority
Yanfei can have two different stat sets, depending on the best build you are using on her. For her Vape/Overvape build, use Attack% Sands, Pyro Damage Goblet, and Crit Circlet. When it comes to her Burgeon Build, use an EM Sands, Goblet, and Circlet.
For Sub stats priority for both her builds, try to reach 70% or higher Crit rate, at least 140% Crit Damage, 120% Energy Regen, and the rest of the stats into her Attack %, and Elemental Mastery.

- Seal of Approval (Normal Attack): Yanfei shoots fireballs that deal up to three counts of Pyro damage. - Signed Edict (Elemental Skill): Deals AoE Pyro damage with blistering flames that also grant maximum Scarlet Seals on hit.
- Done Deal (Elemental Burst): Deals AoE Pyro damage by triggering a spray of intense flames that rush at nearby opponents, which also grants her with maximum Scarlet Seals and applies Brilliance to her. - The Law Knows No Kindness (C1): When using her charged attack, each existing Scarlet Seal additionally reduces the stamina cost for the charged attack by 10% and increases the resistance against interruption during the attack.
- Right of Final Interpretation (C2): Yanfei’s Charged Attack Crit Rate increases by 20% when hitting enemies below 50% HP.
- Samadhi Fire-Forged (C3): Elemental Skill level + 3 up to level 15 max.
- Supreme Amnesty (C4): When Elemental Burst is used, she creates a shield that absorbs up to 45% of Yanfei’s Max HP for 15 seconds. This shield also absorbs Pyro damage 250% more effectively.

Constellations are very important for Yanfei, and she is very hard to play without them.
