Genshin Impact Verdict Claymore: Should You Pull?

In Short
  • Verdict is a decent 5-star Claymore with a high base Attack stat and an additional 20% Attack boost.
  • Both Serpent Spine and Unforged have easier use cases than Verdict, and are likely the better option for most characters.
  • Verdict is best suited for Navia, but it can also be used by Diluc, Freminet and Arataki Itto.

Verdict is the signature weapon of Navia, the 5-star Geo character, and it is a good Claymore. Currently, Verdict is featuring on the weapon banner in Genshin Impact 4.8 phase 1, so many players want to know whether it is worth pulling for in the game. Here I have given all the Pros and Cons of the Verdict Claymore weapon in Genshin Impact so that you can make a decision on whether to pull for it or not.

Genshin Impact Verdict Stat, Effect, and Skill Explained

Verdict is a 5-star Claymore mainly suited for Geo characters or teams having Geo characters. It has a high Base Attack of 674 and a decent Crit Rate Bonus Effect of 22.1% at max level. The weapon’s skill further increases the Attack of the wielder by 20%, which is very good for Attack scaling DPS characters.

AttributesStats and Effects
TypeClaymore
Rarity5-star
Base Attack (Max Level)674
Bonus Effect22.1% Crit Rate
SkillIncreases Attack of the wielder by 20%. When characters in the party receive elemental shards from Crystalize reaction, the wielder will gain 1 Seal (max 2 at once), increasing Elemental Skill Damage by 18%, each seal lasting for 15 seconds. All the Seals disappear 0.2 seconds after the wielder’s Elemental Skill deals damage.
Signature WeaponNavia

The main skill of Verdict increases the Elemental Skill damage of the wearer by 36% (at max stack) when characters in the party have elemental shards.

So, players will need to trigger the Crystalize reaction and collect the elemental shards to get the 2 stacks of Seal on the main wielder. This is why it is very important to have a Geo character either wielding the weapon, or part of the team, to get the best out of its skill.

Note:

One thing to note is that the Elemental Damage bonus is used on one Elemental Skill attack, after which the Seals disappear in 0.2 seconds.

Now that you understand how to use Verdict, here is how it compares with other good Claymores in the game.

  • Verdict vs Serpent Spine: Serpent Spine has less Base Attack stat but a higher Crit Rate compared to Verdict. Its skill is also easy to stack and has a much better uptime. Serpent Spine is also much easier to obtain compared to Verdict.
  • Verdict vs Unforged: Unforged has a slightly lower base attack and has a 49.6% Bonus Attack stat compared to the 22.1% Crit stat of Verdict. The weapon also gives a 20% attack boost (at max stacks) for scoring hits, making it a much better Attack focused Claymore compared to Verdict.

Which Genshin Impact Characters Can Use Verdict

There are a few characters that can get the best out of Verdict in Genshin Impact. Here are all of them:

  • Navia: Verdict is the best weapon for Navia and amplifies everything in her kit. However, the weapon is not that good for other characters in the game.
  • Diluc and Freminet: Diluc and Freminet can utilize the good Attack and Crit boost from the weapon, however, the Elemental Damage boost from the weapon skill is mostly unutilized as both Diluc and Freminet have multiple Elemental Skill combos. Also, they must have a Geo character in the team, like Zhongli or Albedo, to get the best out of Verdict.
  • Itto: Verdict can also be used by Arataki Itto as he scales both on Attack and Defense. Itto’s Elemental Skill can get a good buff from Verdict’s passive. However, Itto best scales on Defense and Attack weapons are not the best for him.

Should You Pull for Verdict in Genshin Impact

Now that you have taken a look at everything Verdict provides, let’s boil everything down to its strengths and weaknesses.

Verdict’s Strength:

  • Great Base Attack and Passive Attack% buff.
  • Good Elemental damage bonus.
  • Good Crit Rate bonus effect.

Verdict’s Weaknesses:

  • Must be wielded by a Geo character or have a Geo character in the party to get the best out of it.
  • Elemental Damage bonus is only for one Elemental Skill usage.
  • Not a good pick for characters scaling on anything other than Attack.

Overall, I won’t recommend pulling for Verdict unless you have Navia and plan to build her completely. This weapon gives a really good Attack buff, but it is not very useful with most Claymore characters in the game. Also, the fact that you must have a Geo character in the team to even get most of its use, makes it even less appealing.
