Il Capitano, or The Captain, is one of the Fatui Harbingers and is considered the strongest of them all, ranked first place. Capitano is said to be an extremely righteous person, even mocked by the Wanderer. He is also mentioned by Childe and Wanderer as one of the strongest Fatui Harbingers.
The Captain is going to appear in Natlan and likely has an important role in the story. One leak via White on Reddit suggests that Capitano is not a native Teyvat and comes from another planet. If this is true, then Capitano becomes much more important to the grand story, especially his connection to the traveler, who is also not a native of Teyvat.
Will IL Capitano (The Captain) be Playable in Genshin Impact
So far, Genshin Impact has made most of the Fatui Harbingers met in-game as playable. This includes Childe, Wanderer, and Arlecchino. The Captain in Genshin Impact currently has no kit leaks but his weapon is rumored to be a Sword. Previously, The Captain was expected to be a Claymore user, but the recent leaks via MeroMero, posted as reliable on Reddit, have surfaced and it mentions that the Capitano is a Sword user.
Other than that, the Ignition Teaser of Natlan gives a brief look on The Captain’s power, which either looks like Cryo or Pyro (but with blue flames). Now this is just speculation based on the teaser, which can very well be unnecessary special effects.
