How Will Gen V Continue Without Andre?
Unfortunately, Gen V actor Chance Perdomo, who played the role of Andre Anderson in the first season, passed away in 2024 in a motorcycle crash. After the death of the Gen V actor, the creators confirmed that they will not recast for the role in the second season. Now, in Gen V Season 2, Chance’s death has been addressed, and his character, Andre, has been killed in the show. In fact, from the teaser trailer, it seems that the creators are planning a storyline around Andre’s death. So, Gen V Season 2 will continue without Andre.
What Could be the Plot of Gen V Season 2?

At the end of Gen V season 1, Cate Dunlap and Sam Riordan were heralded as “The New Guardians of Godolkin University.” Our main protagonists, including Marie Moreau, Jordan Li, Emma Meyer, and Andre Anderson, were trapped inside “The Woods.” The new trailer for season 2 uncovered what will be in store for the supes in season 2.
The season 4 ending of The Boys has impacted the Gen V universe as Homelander takes over the nation where Supes thrive. Godolkin University has found its new dean, Cipher (Hamish Linklater), who has re-enrolled Marie Moreau, Jordan Li, and Emma Meyer to the superhero university. It seems like Emma and Jordan may have been forced to join the New Guardians of Godolkin University.
On the other hand, we also see Marie being pushed to fight against Jordan in a dueling ring. It’s clear that the new dean has deemed the students as soldiers rather than students. Therefore, it’s time for our favorite supes to rebel against the dean’s malevolent rule and overthrow him.
There is a high chance that Zoey (Victoria Neuman’s daughter) will appear in Season 2, as she was sent to Red River after her mother’s death.
Will Gen V Season 2 Release Before The Boys Season 5?
Yes, Gen V Season 2 will release before The Boys Season 2. The release date of Gen V Season 2 has been confirmed for September 17, 2025. On the other hand, The Boys Season 5 does not have a release date yet and is expected to release in 2026.
The newest season will be exclusively available to stream on Prime Video. That said, stay tuned for more updates about Gen V Season 2 by bookmarking this page.
