When Will Gen V Season 2 Be Released?
There is no confirmation yet regarding the release date of the second season of Gen V. However, in an interview with The Wrap, Amazon MGM Studios television head Vernon Sanders talked about the release window of Gen V Season 2.
In an official statement, Sanders said, “We are in production now. We’ve been in production for several weeks now, probably a month or two, and I’m hoping that will be out next year.” Thus, Gen V Season 2 is highly expected to be released in 2025, specifically around June 2025.

If you aren’t aware, after the immense success of Gen V’s debut season, Amazon renewed the show for a second season. The cast and crew were immediately gathered to begin the shooting for Season 2 earlier this year. However, they had to defer the production due to the unfortunate demise of Chance Perdomo, who played the role of Andre Anderson.

You can check out the complete Gen V Season 2 cast list linked here. According to the latest report from Variety, Hamish Linklater (known for The Big Short, Midnight Mass) has officially joined the cast of Gen V and will play the role of Cipher. Here is a brief introduction to his character in Gen V season 2:
The charismatic and charming newly-appointed Dean of Godolkin University. Trained as a scientist, he’s politically brilliant, and has the trust and admiration of officials at the highest level.
Furthermore, after the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo, the producers of the show have affirmed that his character will not be recast in the upcoming seasons to honor his memory. As production is underway, the creators have decided to rework season 2’s narratives to adjust Andre Anderson’s character instead.
What Could be the Plot of Gen V Season 2?
Currently, there is no concrete information about the storyline of Gen V Season 2. In the ending of Gen V season 1, Cate Dunlap and Sam Riordan were heralded as “The New Guardians of Godolkin University.”
Our main protagonists, including Marie Moreau, Jordan Li, Emma Meyer, and Andre Anderson, were trapped inside a room that conceptually looked eerily similar to “The Woods.” Therefore, we can expect Season 2 to cover the escape plan of our new Supes and how they will get back to their normal lives.
As mentioned earlier, Cate and Sam have made brief appearances in Season 4 of The Boys. Hence, similar to season 1, we look forward to some characters from the main Boys’ universe appearing in season 2.
There is a high chance that Zoey (Victoria Neuman’s daughter) will appear in Season 2 as she was sent to Red River after her mother’s death. Stay tuned for more updates about Gen V Season 2 by bookmarking this page.
