Epic Games has just released the Fortnite 39.50 update, bringing a wave of new collaborations and the new Lantern Fest 2026 event to the game. However, this update has a ton of storyline content packed into it for fans of the game’s lore, including hints towards a new Fortnite Rocket live event that will take place in Chapter 7 Season 1.
The setup for this live event comes after the Dark Voyager’s actions throughout Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 forced The Seven to get involved with the Fortnite storyline again. The faction has, of course, brought their iconic Rocket with them, which will soon be added to the game. The launch of the Rocket site, however, is already on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 map. Where to Find Rocket Launch Site on Fortnite Map?
You can find the Rocket Launch site at the Classified Canyon POI on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 map. The site, newly established after the Fortnite 39.50 update, still seems to be a work in progress. The establishment of this site, alongside the addition of the Visitor (Reality Unknown) as an NPC, means that the Seven are planning on taking on the Dark Voyager, but not directly.
Anyone who is familiar with Fortnite lore will remember how the Rocket is usually the Seven’s last resort when it comes to threats. We saw this in the Chapter 1 Season 1 ‘THE END’ live event, where the Seven were willing to sacrifice themselves in order to liberate the Zero Point. Now that the Dark Voyager is slowly gathering shards of the Zero Point, the Seven might have something similar planned for this terrifying new threat.

The Fortnite Rocket Launch Mini Live Event will take place on March 19, 2026, at 2 PM ET. While Epic Games has not officially announced the date for the event, the speculated date will align with the new end date for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1. It is also possible that the live event takes place 2-3 days before the end of Chapter 7 Season 1.
