Epic Games has officially announced the Fortnite DC Hot Bat Summer event, which will finally bring more DC content to the Battle Royale island. Listed as Act 2 of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, the Hot Bat Summer event was leaked before Epic’s summer break and is now set to arrive in the game soon. Fortnite DC Hot Bat Summer Event Release Date and Time
The Fortnite DC Hot Bat Summer event is set to begin on July 16, 2026, at 7 AM ET, and it will be a part of the 41.20 update for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. The game will go into scheduled downtime for the update around 4 AM ET on July 16. Once the servers are back up, players will be able to experience everything new Epic has added for the DC Summer event.
Fortnite x DC Hot Bat Summer Event Skins and Gameplay Changes
DC Summer Skins and Cosmetics
The DC Hot Bat Summer event is all set to feature Fortnite skins for iconic DC characters, with the characters boasting a summer-style aesthetic. The new skins for the characters include:
- Summer Catwoman
- Summer Poison Ivy
- Summer Batman
- Summer Harley Quinn
All of these characters are already part of Fortnite’s skin library, and these new outfit variants are set to provide these characters with their most unique looks yet.
Apart from the new skins, the DC Hot Bat Summer event will also introduce Ace the Bat-Hound as a Fortnite Sidekick. This is a deep cut for Batman fans out there, and players can have this adorable mutt follow them around as they battle other players.
Additionally, Epic will also be adding a new Dune Buggy-inspired Batmobile to the game. This won’t be the previously reported 2022 Batmobile, as it will swap the Batmobile’s typical armored look for a more off-road summer look. All of these cosmetics will be available for purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop after the event goes live. However, it is currently unknown whether they will be part of a bundle or sold separately.
New Batman Sprite
Epic Games will also be adding a brand new Fortnite Sprite called the Batman Sprite to the game with the Hot Bat Summer event. As of now, the exact abilities of this new Sprite remain under wraps. However, given how the Sprite is themed around the Dark Knight, players can expect a Sprite that helps them move around the map more swiftly or detect incoming enemies, just like the Grim Reaper Sprite.
The Batman Sprite, unlike the Burnt Peanut Sprite, will follow all of the Special variants Epic has released so far. This means that players will be able to find Holofoil variants, alongside Gold, Gummy, and Galaxy variants for the Batman Sprite.
Fortnite DC Hot Bat Summer Event Quests
Alongside the cosmetic items, Epic will also likely add new quests for the DC Hot Bat Summer event. These quests will not only grant players XP for the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Battle Pass but also potentially grant them free cosmetic rewards. While it isn’t confirmed, players might even get a chance to claim a free Fortnite skin through this new DC event.
