Deadpool and Wolverine has finally completed its theatrical run and this movie, as expected, turned out to be something many people have waited for a long time. Now since the very announcement of the movie, it has been said that Deadpool and Wolverine is going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe for good, in this article, find out about the Deadpool 3 post-credit scene and if it teases anything about Secret Wars or not.
How Many Post-Credit Scenes Are in Deadpool 3?
Deadpool & Wolverine has one mid-credit scene and no post-credit scene. We explain the mid-credit scene in Deadpool 3 in detail below.
Apart from the mid-credit scene, we essentially get a montage of unseen BTS clips of prior X-Men projects. This clip is a homage to the original X-Men who will now be rebooted in the main Marvel continuity. So, if you are a fan of the OG Fox X-Men franchise, this clip is going to be one hell of a ride for you.
Deadpool & Wolverine Mid-Credit Scene Explained
Deadpool and Wolverine has one mid-credit scene (which can also be seen as a post-credit scene) that does not tease anything about Secret Wars or any other upcoming Marvel movie. Instead, it references the scene where Cassandra Nova kills Johnny Storm played by Chris Evans.
When our dynamic duo first meets Cassandra Nove, we see Deadpool tell Cassandra Nova a list of awful things that Johnny Storm said about her while they were being carried to Cassandra’s base. However, Johnny denies the allegations and says he didn’t say any such thing. Highly offended by the insults, Cassandra kills Johnny and Wolverine blames Deadpool for getting him killed.
In the mid-credit scene of Deadpool 3, Deadpool goes back to the TVA and makes them play the clip of Deadpool, Wolverine, and Johnny being carried to Cassandra’s base. In the clip, we see that Chris Evan’s Johnny actually said all those disgusting insults, thus, confirming that Deadpool was right. This scene works as a final gag before you walk out of the theater and nothing more than that.
