Bullseye made his Marvel debut in Daredevil #131, released in March 1976. In this comic issue, Daredevil is seen running an investigation on a slumlord who is revealed to be the father of Heather Glenn, Matt’s romantic interest. However, he is met with an adversary with impeccable aim called Bullseye, who turns out to be one of the greatest enemies Daredevil has ever faced.

In Marvel comics, Bullseye came from an abusive home where his father and his brother were firearms fanatics. When he was 10 years old, his brother burned their house to kill their father, after which Bullseye was sent to a foster home. As Benjamin grew older, he became a star baseball player, but his time with the sport was cut short when one of the players in the opposing team mocked Benjamin, and he killed the player by throwing a baseball at his head.

Because of his impeccable aim and skills, he was hired by the NSA as an assassin, and on his final mission, he encountered The Punisher and barely made it out alive. He then took up a costume and became a hitman. Bullseye crossed Daredevil’s path when Wilson Fisk offered him a job if Bullseye managed to kill off Daredevil.

The hitman managed to flush out Daredevil, but during their fight, Bullseye was dropped from a telephone wire, paralyzing him from the neck down. This is when he was taken in by Doctor Kenji Oyama, who fixed Bullseye’s spine using Adamantium, making him even stronger. This gave birth to the personal vendetta shared by Bullseye and Daredevil, which caused Bullseye to start impersonating Daredevil to ruin his public image.

Is Bullseye Going to be in Daredevil Born Again?

Even though the Daredevil series is an absolute masterpiece, fans have had certain complaints regarding the show. The biggest of them is that even though Bullseye was present the whole time in Daredevil Season 3, he was also technically never present. We see that Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter is an FBI agent whom Kingpin influenced to impersonate Daredevil and ruin his image.

However, later, it was revealed that Kingpin was responsible for the death of a woman Poindexter deeply cared about. This led him to go on a killing spree at Kingpin’s wedding reception, and gradually, a fight broke out between Dex, Daredevil, and the Kingpin. During the fight, Kingpin slammed Dex against the corner of a stone wall, breaking his back. After this, Dex was paralyzed and agreed to go through an experimental surgery under Doctor Kenji Oyama to repair his spine.

He used Adamantium to fix Dex’s back, and as the final episode came to an end, we saw a Bullseye symbol in one of his eyes, confirming that Dex has finally turned into Bullseye. However, Daredevil was never renewed for a fourth season, and we never got to see the actual Bullseye in action. Now, since Daredevil Born Again is coming out soon, and Bullseye is confirmed to appear in the show.

Who Is the Bullseye Actor in Daredevil Born Again?

Bullseye is played by Wilson Bethel in Daredevil: Born Again. The actor appeared as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter in previous seasons of Daredevil, and he will reprise his role in the upcoming Daredevil Born Again TV show as well. Wilson Bethel is an American actor who shot to fame after playing Ryder Callahan on the CBS daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless.
