XOLO has been launching a lot of smartphones in India. They announce a new smartphone almost every week and now, the company has announced a new budget smartphone, the XOLO A700s.
The XOLO A700s features a 4.5-inch qHD (960x540p) IPS display and it’s powered by a 1.3 GHz Dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor with 1 GB RAM. There’s 4 GB of internal storage with microSD expansion up to 32 GB.
On the camera front, the device features a 5 MP rear camera with an LED flash and there’s a 0.3 MP (VGA) front-facing camera. The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a 1800 mAh battery powers the device. The device comes with Dual SIM connectivity and other connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS.
The XOLO A700s is available in only a single black variant and it’s priced at Rs. 7,299.

The XOLO A700s is priced at Rs. 7,299 and it competes with the likes of the very popular Moto E, the Micromax Unite A092 and the Karbonn Titanium S1 Plus. So, let’s check out how the XOLO offering manages to fare against especially the Moto E, which has made quite some fans in India.

The XOLO A700s is evenly matched to the Moto E and it even manages to go ahead when it comes to the camera. The Moto E has an advantage with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat on board and Motorola has promised regular updates. XOLO too has been working hard on bringing the updates to its devices but we’re not sure if the KitKat update would come to the XOLO A700s.
Well, if you can live with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, then the XOLO A700s is a pretty good device.
