Since the first season of Squid Game, Frontman has been a menacing presence, and later it was revealed that he was none other than In-ho, the long-lost brother of Detective Jun-ho. However, when they finally found each other, In-ho shot Jun-ho. Now, as we have seen before, the Frontman is rather ruthless; however, in Squid Game Season 3, we see that when the other players decided to team up and kill Gi-hun and the baby, the Frontman called Gi-hun and helped him by offering him a knife for protection. Now the question is, why did the Frontman help Gi-hun at all? Let’s find out.
Why Did the Frontman Help Gi-Hun in Squid Game Season 3 by Giving Him a Knife?

In Squid Game season 3, we see that Gi-hun and the baby were about to be targeted by the other players who had joined forces to win by themselves. However, when everyone was asleep, In-ho called Gi-hun and gave him a knife, advising him to kill the other players, as that would help him save himself and the Baby. The Frontman helped Gi-hun because he was given the same advice when he was a player and expected the same outcome.
When In-ho was a player in Squid Game and was given the knife, he went back and killed all the other players, and was expecting that Gi-hun would do the same thing. However, instead of that, Gi-hun kept the knife to protect himself and did not use unfair means to win the game. Another reason why the Frontman could have helped Gi-hun is simply because he had developed a soft corner for him after working with him for such a long time while being in the games.
So, with that being said, the only probable reason for In-ho to help him out was because he thought of him to be his successor, but he was proved wrong when Gi-hun decided not to kill the other players.
