This Stranger Things Season 5 Plot Theory Will Break the Internet If It Comes True

In Short
  • A plot theory for Stranger Things Season 5 suggests that it could involve time rewrite.
  • According to this theory, Eleven might do something to make sure the Upside Down never infiltrates Hawkins.
  • However, if this theory comes to pass, it might not be received well by the fandom and could prove to be a bad ending for Stranger Things.

Netflix’s Stranger Things might take us to the Upside Down, but the fandom around it has only seen an upward graph since the show made its debut. Now, after taking us on an insane journey for 4 seasons, Stranger Things is coming back with a 5th season, and this would also be the conclusion of the epic tale. Since it’s the final season, speculation is running rampant on the internet. However, I came across one plot theory about Stranger Things Season 5 that might break the internet if it proves to be true, and not in a good way. So, let’s take a look at what we’ve got.

Stranger Things Season 5 Could Pull a Time Travel Plot

This theory came our way from Reddit user AndrewPrak, who explained how Stranger Things Season 5 could come to an end. According to them, there is a chance that Season 5 will dive into the territory of time travel. The theory states that in Stranger Things Season 5, Eleven will do something that will make sure that the Upside Down never comes into being in the first place. The best guess on how she would do that is time manipulation. However, if this theory comes to pass, I don’t really think it would see the best reception from the audience.

If we get a storyline in the final season featuring a time rewrite, it would break the internet for all the wrong reasons because this element has been criminally overused throughout time. If the Duffer Brothers actually do this, Stranger Things would fall flat on its face, and the legacy it has created over the past 4 seasons would all be for nothing.

However, if they do it right, it could work as well, but there would be certain implications. First off, if everything that happened in Hawkins did not happen, the gang would never be what it became, and most of all, Eleven would be a stranger to everyone she cares about, and that is an ending I don’t think fans would appreciate.

So, what do you think about this Stranger Things Season 5 plot theory? Would it work out? Let us know in the comments.
