Stranger Things Season 5 Part 1 is here, and it has already hinted that it will show no mercy to anyone. Things changed permanently for Hawkins and its residents after Will Byers was kidnapped by a Demogorgon and taken to The Upside Down. Even though the boy made it out alive to the real world, he never truly got rid of it. In fact, the second season revealed that Vecna made Will his spy to get every bit of information about the real world. So, basically, the boy remained Vecna’s puppet throughout the years, but now, finally, he has emerged as someone who might hold the key to Vecna’s end.
Will Byers’ Awakening Can Turn the Tides Against Vecna in Stranger Things

Will Byers’ awakening at the end of Stranger Things Season 5, Episode 4, was a plot twist no one saw coming. The junior Byers has always been the emotional core of the story, especially after he was dragged to The Upside Down on that night when Joyce and Jonathan weren’t home. After he returned, fans realized that something in Will had changed forever. The lingering sensations, the chills, and the unexplained fears hinted at his connection with The Upside Down.
However, he was a child back then, so he didn’t know what he was going through. Stranger Things Season 5 finally sees that connection getting stronger. Will can see the world through the eyes of Demogorgons and Vecna himself. Vecna had been using his hive-mind ability to control these creatures to reshape the world. And now, in the final chapter, Will discovers his hive mind ability backed up by his internal powers exactly at the moment his friends need help.
Mike, Lucas, and Robin were nearly slaughtered by the Demogorgons if Will hadn’t activated the newfound powers and killed these petal-faced creatures. Now that he has gotten to that level, we might see him using these abilities to fight Vecna. Like Henry uses the hive mind to control the creatures of The Upside Down as he pleases, Will can control them and use them to fight the evil. In short, he can also hijack the network, and there are chances we’ll see the boy turn the Demogorgons against their commander. Besides that, he can not only sense Vecna but also get into his mind. Will can always locate him, no matter how deep he is in hiding.
Eleven can attack Vecna directly with her raw power, while Will can ambush the psychic system and drain the villain’s powers. He can be a psychic shield for his friends, who can help them stay one step ahead of Vecna. There are so many things that Will can do to Vecna with the newfound abilities, but it needs to be seen how the boy can get hold of them and use them for good. Well, if he is the one to defeat Vecna, no one will remember Will as the boy who was taken; in fact, fans will remember him as someone who ended it all in Stranger Things.
