Squid Game Season 3: Every Game Revealed in Trailers So Far

Squid Game Season 3 is nearing its official release, and there has been a huge buzz among the fandom lately, who aren’t getting tired of discussing the games that would make it to the next season. Of course, nothing can be said until the series is finally here, but we can still predict some games, all thanks to the first official trailer of the third season. The trailer that was released during the Netflix TUDUM 2025 event revealed some of the deadly games. Here we talk about some Squid Game Season 3 games based on the trailer and clips.

Squid Game Season 3 is all set to bring the Red Light, Green Light back. However, the trailers already revealed that the stakes will get higher, and so will the intensity of the games. So, you can’t say that you know what is going to unfold in the next moment. This time, the gigantic female doll Young-hee will be joined by a new male doll named Cheol-su.

I hope you remember him being teased in the post-credit scene of Season 2. This time, the series will not see only Cheol-su as the new addition to this game, but as the trailer showcased, there will be a train-like signal as well.

The promotional trailer doesn’t reveal too much about the game, but it clearly indicates that the signal and Cheol-su will certainly make it harder for the players to dodge detection. Earlier, every player had to deal with only one doll, but now, the threat level has increased, as there might be a dual-detection system that will push innocent lives to the verge of death.

Gumball Machine Game

Gumball Machine Game will split the player into two teams: Red and Blue. The trailer shows all the players turning the dial on the machine one by one. If the machine dispenses a red ball, the player goes to a room assigned to the red team, and if it releases a blue ball, the player needs to head toward the room assigned to the blue team. One team gets the knife, and the other receives the keys.

The ones with the keys must find a door where the key fits, while the other team must find the opponents and kill them. The next round must see a rotation mechanic with a shift in nature. For instance, the team with the knife in the previous round will continue the game with a key, and vice versa.

Jump Rope Game

In Squid Game Season 2, we got to see contestants struggling with the tug-of-war game that didn’t end without taking some lives. It seems Squid Game Season 3 is going to bombard us with the deadly games that will surely give us panic attacks. The trailer features a narrow track, and we see the female doll holding one side of the rope; the trailer doesn’t show Cheol-su, but we know he is on the other side, holding the rope. In the brief glimpse, nothing major about the game is revealed, but we can sense that the players must jump when the rope reaches their feet.

The trailer suggests that each player must cross the bridge without getting hit by the rope. In case the rope touches them, they fall from the height and meet their dark fates.

Lights Out

Lights Out, which happened between the mainstream games in Squid Game Season 2, got many players killed, and now, the upcoming season will again see it claiming more lives. However, it won’t be counted as the main game, though.

Squid Game (Not Teased But Most Likely to Happen)

Squid Game was the final game of Season 1, in which Player 456 stood as a victor after Player 218 was eliminated. Even though the trailer for Season 3 never teased the game for the upcoming season, it would make sense if Squid Game ends with ”The Squid Game.”

A Final Hidden Game (Revealed by the Director)

While the above-mentioned games had hints in their trailers and clips, a hidden Squid Game Season 3 game will be revealed at the end, as confirmed by director Hwang Dong-hyuk. Talking about season 3 at an event in Seoul, Hwang said there’s a secret game that will be revealed in the final act of Squid Game Season 3. We’ll have to wait and see what game it will be.
