Solo Leveling Season 2 Is All Set to Adapt Manhwa’s Best Arc, and the Hype Is Unreal

The Winter 2025 anime season kicked off with a bang, and Solo Leveling Season 2 is taking the hype to superior levels with its stellar adaptation. The sequel is shaping up to be the best season yet with incredible action sequences and faster pacing. The animators are now getting close to adapting the fan-favorite Jeju Island arc from the debut episode of the anime. So, along with manhwa fans, anime-only fans are also waiting with bated breath for inarguably the best arc in Solo Leveling.

As the much-anticipated arc is right around the corner, here are my thoughts on the Jeju Island arc being adapted in the Solo Leveling anime and how A-1 Pictures is raising the bar with each episode.

Will Jeju Island Arc Be In Solo Leveling Season 2?

Jeju Island arc is the pinnacle of the Solo Leveling manhwa series; no other arc comes close to the palpable thrill and high-stakes action on Jeju Island. That’s why the animators began to tease and lay the groundwork for the highly anticipated arc right off the bat, which wasn’t seen in the source material.

At the end of season 1, it was speculated that the second season would end with a cliffhanger of Jinwoo arriving on the ants-infested island. However, heavy rumors began to surface online that the Jeju Island arc will be adapted fully in the current season. While this rumor seemed absurd at first, it could become a reality based on how the second season is progressing at a rapid rate. A-1 Pictures is adapting around 5-6 chapters per episode and has successfully come close to the start of Jeju Island; that too with five episodes to go in Season 2.

So, technically speaking, the Jeju Island arc will definitely be adapted in the second season of Solo Leveling. Even A-1 Pictures teased Beru in this season’s key visual. If you look closely, you can see the ant masked as Jinwoo’s cloak.

Now, the question is how much of the Jeju Island arc will be adapted in the final half of the second season of Solo Leveling. My educated guess is that almost the entire Jeju Island arc will be adapted in this season. However, if the production team decides to end on a cliffhanger with the Jinwoo vs Ant King fight just breaking out then it would be highly disappointing for fans.

After watching the debut season of Solo Leveling, any doubts fans had about A-1 Pictures’ quality were immediately alleviated. The studio is delivering an extremely well-produced season yet again with back-to-back episodes that have us cheering and on the edge of our seats.

You must have already noticed that Season 2 is heavy in action in comparison to the previous season. That’s the biggest reason why A-1 Pictures is having a field day adapting multiple chapters into an episode.

The Jeju Island arc is 27 chapters long (chapters 90-107) in the webtoon. You can check out the Solo Leveling arcs list right here. With five episodes remaining, the animators can easily cover the entire Hunter fight against the Ants in this season. The high-speed pace of this season is noticeable, especially for someone like me who has finished reading the manhwa already. However, the studio is doing a great job condensing the story and removing only the unimportant moments.

I am truly enjoying every minute of the second season, particularly the high-octane action scenes, which are the main highlight. I have been waiting a long time to see the iconic fights from the Solo Leveling manhwa get animated, and A-1 Pictures keeps surpassing my expectations. So, we have no doubts that the Jeju Island arc is in safe hands.

As mentioned earlier, the animators are well aware of the significance of this fan-favorite arc. That’s why they’ve been spending time setting it up from the beginning. And based on the stunning action sequences I have witnessed so far, I’m optimistic about the anime adaptation of the best arc in Solo Leveling. But, can it surpass some of the most popular battles in history?

A-1 Pictures has upped their pace only to reach this level, and they can take it slow from now on to cater the experience to the fans who have been wanting to watch the Jeju Island arc for a long time. I have no doubts they will outshine their previous efforts and set a new benchmark with this arc. Do you think the same?
