How to Get Reshiram in Pokemon GO

Reshiram is a Legendary Pokemon, which means there are only a few limited ways to obtain it in Pokemon GO. The primary method is through 5-star Raid Battles that appear during special Pokemon GO events. However, you need to complete the raid in the given time and catch it successfully with Premier Balls.

Unfortunately, Reshiram cannot be encountered in the wild like regular Pokemon. This leaves us with trading as the only other option to add one to your collection. Fusing Reshiram with Kyurem in Pokemon GO

You can combine Reshiram with Kyurem in Pokemon GO by using Blaze Fusion Energy to unlock White Kyurem.

The main way to collect Blaze Fusion Energy is through White Kyurem Raid Battles. Every successful raid rewards at least 80 Fusion Energy, though faster clear times and bonus rewards can increase the amount you receive. Since fusion requires 1000 Blaze Fusion Energy, you’ll need to complete multiple raids to gather enough.

Apart from the Fusion Energy, you also need 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Reshiram Candy, one Kyurem, and one Reshiram. After collecting all the required materials, open your Kyurem’s page and tap on the “Fuse” option to create White Kyurem.

It is highly recommended to fuse a Kyurem that already knows the legacy move Glaciate*. This allows White Kyurem to gain access to its exclusive Adventure Effect move, Ice Burn. When activated, Ice Burn slows down the catch circle movement for 10 minutes, making Pokemon encounters much easier to catch.

White Kyurem inherits the CP, IVs, and stats of the Kyurem used during the fusion process, instead of Reshiram

Can Shiny Reshiram Be Found in Pokemon GO?

Yes, you can encounter shiny Reshiram in Pokemon GO. It has a shiny rate of around 1 in 20, meaning players usually have a chance to find one shiny Reshiram after about 20 raids.

But the good news is that you do not need a shiny Reshiram to obtain a shiny White Kyurem. As long as the Kyurem used for fusion is shiny, the fused White Kyurem will also be shiny.

Where is Reshiram Ranked in Pokemon GO Meta?

Reshiram is one of the strongest Fire and Dragon-type Pokemon in the current Pokemon GO Meta. Here’s a complete analysis of Reshiram’s rankings:

• Raid Attacker: Reshiram is one of the best Raid Attackers with high defense, attack, and stamina. Due to the stats, Reshiram has a good TDO, allowing it to deal as much damage as possible while surviving. Reshiram also competes with some top Mega Evolutions, Shadow Pokemon, and more.
• Gym Defender: As a Legendary Pokemon, Reshiram cannot defend Gyms.
• Dragon Type Attacker: Reshiram ranks in the top 30 Dragon-type attackers with Dragon Breath and Draco Meteor as its moveset. Pokemon like Eternatus, Mega Rayquaza, Mega Salamance, and Dialga are still a better option.
• Fire Type Attacker: While Reshiram falls behind in the Dragon type attacker category, it stands among the top 5 Fire type attackers. With Fire Fang and Fusion Flare*, you can deal a lot of fire damage while tanking moves.
• Ultra League: Reshiram has ranks in the top 400, and you don’t want to use it in this league. Ultra League requires at least 2500 CP, and Reshiram, being a legendary Pokemon, its stats will get lower with its level and CP, making it a very bad choice.
• Master League: On the other hand, Reshiram shines the most in Master League with a whopping rank of top 10. Master League is filled with Fairy, Dragon, and Steel type Pokemon, and Reshiram, being a Fire Dragon, has a lot of play in this league.
