From its early beta days to its transformation into a major esports title, one thing about Valorant has remained constant: the wide assortment of weapon skins. Riot’s tactical shooter is among the best live-service games when it comes to producing high-quality skins that induce a strong collector’s urge amongst fans. And since the title does not feature costumes for Agents, fans are constantly obsessing over Valorant’s weapon bundles.
Seeing as the game has been live for nearly six years, the Valorant skin catalogue runs deep. This means that some weapon skins have basically become extinct over time and no longer appear in the Store’s rotation. If you’re wondering what the rarest Valorant skins are, then you’re in the right place. Check out the entries below to see if your collection includes a true gem.
Rarest Valorant Skins Ranked in 2026
Editor’s Note: This list was last updated on February 21, 2026.
We’ve ranked the 10 rarest Valorant skins below, including weapon wraps that date back to the game’s very first beta:
10. Ruin Collection
- Release Date: October 2020
- Weapons: Melee, Marshall, Shorty, Guardian, Phantom
- How to get: Ignition Act 3 Battle Pass
Starting off our list of the rarest Valorant weapon skins in the Ruin Collection. Introduced as part of the Ignition Act 3 Battle Pass, Ruin skins featured a black and gold design with red flourishes to deliver an opulent aesthetic. While these skins are coveted across all compatible weapons, the Ruin Dagger holds a special place in the hearts of fans due to its striking appearance and inspect animations.
Being a Battle Pass skin, the Ruin Collection became unavailable as soon as Ignition Act 3 ended. Unfortunately, the skin hasn’t been introduced in the Store ever since.
9. Ignite Capsule
- Release Date: July 2023
- Weapon: Katana Knife (Melee)
- How to get: Purchase the limited-time Ignite Capsule
The Ignite Katana Knife holds mythic status in the Valorant community. Riot revealed the skin to commemorate the release of Valorant’s China server, and it was even exclusive to the region initially. It took an avalanche of fan requests for the studio to finally change its mind and make the Ignite Capsule available worldwide.
The melee itself is designed like a traditional Chinese hand fan with embedded knives. Two colorways, red and violet, add a splash of life to the item, while the stylish animations do the rest. The reasons behind its rarity can be chalked up to its limited-time exclusivity as well as its astonishing price of 4,350 Points. Needless to say, the Ignite Capsule will likely never be available in the Store or the Valorant Night Market.
8. Kingdom Collection
- Release Date: June 2020
- Weapons: Melee, Classic, Bucky, Spectre, Phantom
- How to get: Purchase the discontinued Kingdom Collection bundle
The Kingdom Collection made its debut during Ignition Act 1, bringing some sleek futurism to the game’s arsenal. It exuded lime green vibes, combining the color with black and silver accents. At the time, the Collection was a breath of fresh air and rather minimalistic when compared to other bundles. Unfortunately, the skins have become extinct since Kingdom’s initial run.
7. Wayfinder Shorty
- Release Date: January 2022
- Weapon: Shorty
- How to get: Expired Prime Gaming weapon skin
The Wayfinder Shorty’s rarity is self-explanatory. Not only was this skin a Prime Gaming exclusive, but it has never entered the Store ever since. It’s also worth highlighting that the weapon skin itself has one of the most unique appearances in the entire catalogue. It douses the sawed-off shotgun in matte black, with silver and gold embellishments running all across, instantly making it one of the best Shorty skins that you’ll ever see.
6. Champions Bundle 2021
- Release Date: December 2021
- Weapons: Karambit (Melee), Vandal
- How to get: Purchase the limited-time Champions 2021 bundle
Champions bundles will always be among the rarest skins in Valorant due to the simple virtue of limited-time availability. These collections have released every year since 2021, celebrating the culmination of another VCT cycle. What makes Champions 2021 special is the fact that it was the very first bundle of this type, bearing the striking ‘Champions’ font near the Vandal’s receiver area.
Then there’s the legendary Champions Karambit, a bona fide sign that the owner is a Valorant OG. Both these items were available as part of a bundle priced at an eye-watering 6,263 Points, but are unlikely to pop up in the Store ever again.
5. VCT Lock In Collection
- Release Date: February 2023
- Weapon: Misericordia Knife (Melee)
- How to get: Purchase the limited-time Lock In Collection
Sticking with the VCT theme, the beloved Lock In Collection saw the arrival of the Misericordia Knife, which was available for just one month before going away forever. The knife itself came in four different color variants, three of which represented the VCT’s regional competitions, while the main red variant represented the tournament as a whole. On top of this, the melee had some really sharp attack and inspect animations that have players spamming the ‘Y’ key to this day.
The Lock In Misericordia remains one of the best knife skins in Valorant history. It’s frankly a shame that most players will never get to enjoy it.
4. Champions Bundle 2022
- Release Date: December 2022
- Weapon: Melee, Phantom
- How to get: Purchase the limited-time Champions 2022 bundle
Champions bundles could honestly take up at least five spots on this list, given their rarity and fan-favorite status, but Champions 2022 holds a special place in our hearts. The weapon skins are the personification of ‘forged in gold,’ featuring golden outlines, red crystalline flourishes, and a dab of indigo to round out an immaculate design.
Its finisher is another highlight, as it displays the VCT trophy in all of its glory. Unfortunately, these skins are locked behind limited-time exclusivity and will never emerge in the Store again.
3. RGX 11z Pro Blade
- Release Date: October 2021
- Weapon: Butterfly Knife (Melee)
- How to get: Purchase the discontinued RGZ 11z Wave 1 Bundle
The RGX 11z Pro bundle introduced Valorant’s first ever Butterly Knife, which instantly makes the collection iconic. The melee wasn’t all that complex visually, featuring green and black accents that make it a perfect fit for Viper. What made the knife special were, of course, the animations. Seeing the deft draw animation and the smooth inspect is something every OG remembers. As long-term players will know, the Wave 1 variant of the knife is now a legacy item, meaning there’s no way to get the skin at the time of writing.
2. Hivemind Collection
- Release Date: August 2020
- Weapons: Melee, Shorty, Spectre, Ares, Vandal
- How to get: Ignition Act 2 Battle Pass
Another Battle Pass relic, the Hivemind Collection, was released all the way back during Ignition Act 2. As the name suggests, the collection’s appearance radiated alien vibes as it was encrusted with purple-colored pulstulants and finished with matte silver finesse. It also had a strange textural grip near the barrel to round off the look, making it one of the best skins to ever join the Battle Pass. But just like the Ruin Collection, these weapon skins have essentially been vaulted.
1. Arcane Sheriff
- Release Date: November 2021
- Weapon: Sheriff
- How to get: Purchase the limited-time Arcane Collection
No surprises here – the Arcane Sheriff is not only the rarest Valorant weapon skin, but arguably one of the game’s best skins period. Released as a part of a limited-time tie-in with the Arcane Netflix series, this colorful Sheriff was modeled after Jinx’s weapon in the show. It was priced at 2,377 Points, and for that price, you got an eye-catching mechanical design and some of the very best weapon animations Riot has ever created. The Arcane Sheriff hasn’t returned to the Store ever since the event, and it seems unlikely that it ever will.
And that rounds out our list of the rarest weapon skins in Valorant. What do you make of our selections? Let us know in the comments.
Some rare Valorant skins, like the Neo Frontier Sheriff, can return to the Store. But Battle Pass exclusives and limited-time bundle skins have likely been vaulted forever.
The rarest Valorant weapon skin is the Arcane Sheriff, which hasn’t been available for purchase in over four years.
