- Polarity appears to be the only one who can resist Cipher's powers.
- We see that he was not only able to stop overcoming Cipher's control but also sent him flying through the window.
- It could be because, instead of Compound V, Cipher's powers come from an implant made of metal, because of which Polarity can resist his powers.
Be it Gen V or The Boys, just when you think it can’t surprise you anymore, it goes ahead and does exactly that. Gen V Season 2 just came out with its 6th episode, and while there are other interesting things taking place in this one, Polarity has become my center of interest. In this Gen V Season 2 Episode 6, we see that Cipher has held Polarity captive in hopes of tracking down Marie and her friends, but by the end of this episode, Polarity pulls off something that might just have made him instrumental in taking down Cipher in Gen V Season 2, and here, we find out how.
Gen V Season 2 Episode 6 Ending Explained: Can Polarity Kill Dean Cipher?
In episode 6 of Gen V Season 2, we see that Cipher has held Polarity captive in his own home to track down Marie and her group. He even used his powers on Polarity to find out where they are, but by the end of the episode, when Cipher is telling him about his plans with Godolkin, and even taunts Polarity using his son’s name, something snaps, and as Cipher tries to use his powers on him, Polarity resists them and even sends Cipher flying through the window.
So far, Polarity is the only one who is shown to be able to resist Cipher’s powers. Not just resist, he can use them against him, which could eventually become the one weakness Marie and his friends exploit to kill Cipher later in the show.
How Did Polarity Manage to Resist Cipher’s Powers?
Now, I have a theory which could explain how Polarity managed to resist Cipher’s control. Previously, we got to know that Marie did not sense any Compound V in Cipher’s blood. One could say that Marie was mistaken, but what if she wasn’t? What if there actually isn’t any Compound V in Cipher’s body?
Polarity can manipulate and control anything that is made out of metal, so what if, instead of Compound V, Cipher has an electronic implant fitted in his body, giving him his powers? This could explain how Polarity was able to resist Cipher’s control and even managed to throw him out of the window. As of now, it’s hard to say if this theory comes true or not, so let’s wait and see what else Gen V Season 2 has in store for us.
