Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock: Better Together Event Guide

Anyone who has gone through our Pokemon GO July roadmap knows about the plethora of events happening. As Shared Skies continues to roll on, the Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock event is here. First of a three-part saga, the Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock brings forth a lot of goodies and bonuses. Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock: Better Together – Start Time and Event Bonuses

The Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock Better Together is a limited-time event. The first part of the event will begin on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM local time to Monday, July 22, 2024, at 8:00 PM. Here are all the Pokemon Ultra Unlock bonuses:

• Earn four times the XP for catching Pokemon.
• Earn two times the catch candy per Pokemon catch.
• Your Pokemon friendship level will increase faster than usual when opening gifts, trading a Pokemon, or battling in raids, gyms, and trainer battles.

So, if you want to level up your favorite Pokemon or evolve a particular Pokemon, this is the perfect event to participate in.

Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock: Better Together – Featured Pokemon

Like any featured Pokemon GO event, the Ultra Unlock event is bringing a couple of monsters. However, instead of the same old roster, the event is debuting two new Pokemon to the game with some increased wild encounters with existing ones!

Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock Debut Pokemon

The Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock event is bringing Tandemaus and Maushold for the first time! Named as the couple Pokemon, Tandemaus is a Normal-type Pokemon. You can catch Tandemaus while playing in Pokemon GO Party Play mode or as a Field Research and Timed Research reward. Once caught you can encounter a shiny Tandemaus and evolve it to Maushold with 50 Tandemaus candies.

Wild Encounters

During the Ultra Unlock: Better Together event of Pokemon GO, these Pokemon will appear much more frequently in the wild. Every Pokemon mentioned below includes their shiny variant:

• Vulpix
• Alolan Vulpix
• Diglett
• Alolan Diglett
• Meowth
• Alolan Meowth
• Galarian Meowth
• Exeggcute
• Wooper
• Paldean Wooper
• Zigzagoon
• Galarian Zigzagoon
• Combee
• Binacle

Besides the monsters above, three Pokemon specifically might appear randomly during your usual strolls. However, these can still occur infrequently. They are:

• Alolan Exeggutor and its shiny variant
• Magneton
• Klink and its shiny variant

So, if you have ever wanted to capture any of these Pokemon but have never encountered them, the Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock is the perfect time to do so.

Raid Pokemon

Thanks to the Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock, a few monsters are also joining the 3 and 5 star raids. These are:

1-Star Raids

• Hisuian Growlithe and its shiny variant
• Alolan Grimer and its shiny variant
• Unown B and its shiny variant
• Unown T and its shiny variant

3-Star Raid

• Hisuian Typhlosion and its shiny variant
• Hisuian Samurott and its shiny variant
• Hisuian Decidueye and its shiny variant

So, if you enjoy playing the raids in-game, this is the perfect time to focus your efforts and get yourself some new Pokemon!

Pokemon GO Ultra Unlock: Better Together – Field and Timed Research

There are also some themed Field and Time Research for the Better Together event in Pokemon GO! Fortunately, these two events are entirely free for anyone to participate in. In Field Research Task, you can encounter these Pokemon after completing the tasks:

• Slowpoke and its shiny variant
• Galarian Slowpoke and its shiny variant
• Voltorb and its shiny variant
• Hisuian Voltorb and its shiny variant
• Koffing and its shiny variant
• Combee and its shiny variant
• Darumaka and its shiny variant
• Galarian Darumaka and its shiny variant
• Vanillite and its shiny variant
• Deino and its shiny variant
• Tandemaus
