Pokemon GO Kyurem Fusion Raid Day: All Raids, Bonuses, Features, and More

Black and White Kyurem were first released in March 2025, and ever since then, these two Legendary beasts have never been seen again in Pokemon GO. Both are among the strongest attackers in the game, and are must have for every trainer. Finally, after 10 months, they will be back in Pokemon GO Raids, during the Kyurem Fusion Raid Day.

Trainers can participate in five-star raids, challenge various raid bosses, and get a chance to encounter them. For those who have missed Black and White Kyurem previously, now is your perfect chance to get them. Here’s all the information related to the upcoming Raid Day event.

Pokemon GO Kyurem Fusion Raid Day Start and End Date

The Kyurem Fusion Raid Day in Pokemon GO will be released on Saturday, January 10, 2026, and will be available for three hours. We have listed the start and the end times below.

• Start Date and Time: Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2 PM local time
• End Date and Time: Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 5 PM local time

Once the event ends, you will no longer be able to take part and obtain the rewards.

Pokemon GO Kyurem Fusion Raid Day Raid Bosses

The Kyurem Fusion Raid Day in Pokemon GO features four different raid bosses. Here’s a list of them and their timings:

After defeating the raid bosses, players can encounter and catch them. There’s a very high chance that the above raid bosses can be shiny. However, defeating them won’t be an easy feat. Note:

Trainers will have a chance to catch Kyurem after defeating Black Kyurem or White Kyurem.

Pokemon GO Kyurem Fusion Raid Day Bonuses

The bonuses for Kyurem Fusion Raid Day are mostly related to Raid Passes, Raid Bosses, and their shiny rates. That being said, here’s a list of all the bonuses:

• Reshiram, Zekrom, Black Kyurem, and White Kyurem will appear more frequently in raid battles at the gyms. Reshiram and Black Kyurem will appear in raids for the first 30 minutes of an hour, followed by Zekrom and White Kyurem.
• You can receive up to five extra free Raid Passes (for a total of six) from spinning Gym Photo Discs.
• The shiny rates will be increased for Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem in raids.
• The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20 from Friday, January 9, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. PST.

To prepare for this, we recommend that you stack as many Raid Passes as possible. Make sure that you claim the Raid Pass of January 9 and use it on the Raid Day. You can even buy the Premium Battle Pass bundle or the Remote Raid Pass bundle from the in-game store using PokeCoins.

The standard shiny rate for Legendary Pokemon encountered from raids is 1 in 20. However, during raid days, there is a 1 in 10 chance of encountering a shiny from Legendary raids. For this, you need to participate in as many raids as possible. You can invite your friends using their Friend Code to raid remotely and assist you.

Event Ticket Bonuses

A paid event ticket will be available in the shop, which you can purchase for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). You can buy the ticket or gift to your friends as well once they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.

Purchasing it will grant you extra bonuses alongside the free bonuses we’ve mentioned:

• 8 additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a daily total of 14)
• Increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles
• 50% more XP from Raid Battles
• 2× Stardust from Raid Battles

If you’ve purchased the ticket, then don’t forget to use Starpiece and Lucky Egg for extra XP and Stardust gains. You can also keep a Dragon-type Mega Evolved Pokemon in your party for extra candy bonuses. Some of the Dragon-type Mega Evolutions are: Mega Rayquaza, Mega Garchomp, Mega Salamence, Mega Latios, Mega Altaria, Mega Ampharos, Mega Sceptile, and Mega Charizard X.

Pokemon GO Kyurem Fusion Raid Day Featured Attacks

Legendary Pokemon encountered and caught during the Kyurem Fusion Raid will know the following exclusive moves.

• Fusion Flare: Reshiram encountered and caught from raids will know the Charged Attack Fusion Flare.
• Fusion Bolt: Zekrom encountered and caught from raids will also know the Charged Attack Fusion Bolt.
• Glaciate: Kyurem encountered and caught from raids will also know the Charged Attack Glaciate.
• Freeze Shock: After fusing Zekrom with a Kyurem that knows the Charged Attack Glaciate, Black Kyurem will learn the Charged Attack Freeze Shock. Freeze Shock will change back to Glaciate when Zekrom is separated from Kyurem.
• Ice Burn: After fusing Reshiram with a Kyurem that knows the Charged Attack Glaciate, White Kyurem will learn the Charged Attack Ice Burn. Ice Burn will change back to Glaciate when Reshiram is separated from Kyurem.

Fusing Kyurem with Reshiram and Zekrom in Pokemon GO

Players can fuse a regular Kyurem with Reshiram to get a White Kyurem, and with Zekrom to get a Black Kyurem in Pokemon GO. But to do so, you need Fusion Energy.

Fusion Energy can be obtained by defeating the Fused version of Kyurem in the raids. Defeating Black Kyurem in raids will yield Volt Fusion Energy, and White Kyurem in raids will yield Blaze Fusion Energy. You cannot encounter them in raids. The only way to get them is by fusing Kyurem with Reshiram and Zekrom.

To get a Black Kyurem, you need 1000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Zekrom Candy, a Kyurem, and Zekrom. Similarly, to get a White Kyurem, you need 1000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Reshiram Candy, a Kyurem, and Reshiram.

Once you have all the resources, you can simply select the Kyurem you want to fuse, click on the White Kyurem or Black Kyurem option below, and select your choice of Reshiram and Zekrom you want to fuse. You can defuse them anytime you want, and it doesn’t require any resources.

We recommend fusing a Kyurem with the move Glaciate* to get the legacy moves on your Black Kyurem and White Kyurem, and utilise their Adventure Effects.

The Adventure Effects for the two fusions are as follows:

• Ice Burn of White Kyurem: Slows down the aim ring when catching Pokemon for 10 minutes, making the Pokemon easier to catch.
• Freeze Shock of Black Kyurem: Locks and freezes the Pokemon you’re catching, preventing it from moving for 10 minutes. This makes the Pokemon easier to catch.

Note:

The stats of your fused Kyurem depends on the Kyurem, and not on Zekrom or Reshiram. We recommend that you fuse your best Kyurem with your weakest Zekrom or Reshiram. That way you can still use your stronger Zekrom and Reshiram in battles.

Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are the best Ice-type attackers in Pokémon GO. Whereas Reshiram is one of the top Fire-type attackers, and Zekrom being in the list of the top Electric attackers. If you want to add these powerhouses to your team, then make sure that you don’t miss out on the event.
