The Nokia X6 was launched in China last month with a stunning glass design, a notched display notch, dual rear-cameras, and some beefy internals for a mid-range device. It was expected to be exclusive to China but Nokia fans around the world rallied their forces, making HMD Global realize that Nokia X6 should be launched globally.
The rumor mill is abuzz with news about the global Nokia X6 for quite some time, but we had no concrete info to go by until today thanks to a support page on Nokia India’s website (via MySmartPrice). The support page is a big hint that the Nokia X6 will be unveiled for India soon.
The SAR Certification Information on the support page for the Nokia X6 further confirms that the device is approved for use in India. The support page reads,
Your mobile device is also designed to meet the requirements for exposure to radio waves established by the India Department of Telecommunications. These requirements set a SAR limit of 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue.
This further adds fuel to the rumors that Nokia X6 is slated to launch in India very soon and we’re eagerly looking forward to it, thanks to its impressive specs sheet.
Key Specifications
The Nokia X6 sports a 5.8-inch full HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, thanks to the notch up-top. It is powered by the Snapdragon 636 chipset, and comes with two RAM + storage configurations – 4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage.
Coming to the optics, the Nokia X6 brings along a dual rear-camera system with a 16MP primary sensor and 5MP secondary sensor. The selfie shooter here is a 16MP sensor coupled with an f/2.0 lens. This is coupled with the usual camera features we’ve come to expect from most smartphones, i.e bokeh, bothie, and the AI scene recognition feature.
This device will also be part of Google’s Android One program and run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It also offers software-based facial recognition, like other recent Android devices. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
