For a while, fans speculated that OPLA Season 2 would premiere in 2025. Even Vincent Regan, the actor who plays Monkey D. Garp, hinted that the second season would arrive before Christmas 2025. However, it isn’t the case, as there is a big delay; Netflix confirmed that One Piece Live-Action season 2 will release sometime in 2026.

While we expected to hear a definitive release date during the One Piece Day 2025 event, Netflix reconfirmed that the second season is set to premiere in 2026. We can speculate that the OP LA season 2 may be released in early 2026; however, it can be released in August in line with its previous season’s release.

The shooting for the second season officially began in July 2024. The new season was filmed in South Africa, Spain, and Mexico. The latest news is that the production for One Piece Season 2 has wrapped up.

It took around 8 months to film the first season of One Piece live-action, and the filming for the sequel also took eight months to wrap up by February 2025.

What Is the Plot of One Piece Live-Action Season 2?

Netflix’s One Piece live-action Season 2 will continue to focus on the Straw Hat Pirates exploring the perilous oceans and visiting new islands during their adventures to find the legendary One Piece treasure. Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. The Straw Hat Pirates and some of the other characters that appeared in the first season, like Koby, Helmeppo, Buggy, and others, will be returning for the second season. How Many Episodes Are in One Piece Live-Action Season 2?

The official episode count of One Piece live-action season 2 has not been announced yet. However, there are heavy rumors that the second season could have just seven episodes. However, the amount of source material that needs to be covered here is larger than before. Earlier, Joe Tracz said, “So it’s a dream and a joy to come aboard the Going Merry as it enters the Grand Line for an even more giant Season 2.”
