If there is one thing that you absolutely need to survive in Minecraft Dungeons 2 is a powerful weapon. Whether your style is getting close with a massive hammer or standing behind your allies to rain arrows on the enemies, there are tons of weapon options for each one of you. So, check this guide to learn about the confirmed Minecraft Dungeons 2 weapons.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 Melee Weapons List
With the latest Minecraft Dungeons 2 gameplay trailer out at Gamescom 2026, we got an exclusive sneak peek into the features alongside some weapons as well. With the melee weapons, you must get close to the enemies, position yourself well, and practice your timing to make the most of them. That said, here are all the currently confirmed melee weapons in Minecraft Dungeons 2:
Melee Weapon Description Axe A circular-swinging melee weapon that can hit nearby enemies. Battlestaff A weighted staff designed for powerful strikes and enchantment-focused builds. Cleaver A melee weapon built around repeated close-range swings. Double Daggers Dual-wielded blades designed for rapid slashing attacks. War Hammer A huge melee weapon that delivers powerful swings. Mace A heavy blunt weapon associated with powerful attacks. Pickaxe A slower melee weapon that can be used to smash nearby enemies. Pride of the Plains A Unique melee weapon with revealed enchantment potential. Scythe A large curved weapon capable of sweeping through nearby mobs. Shovel A large melee weapon with broad circular swings. Sickles Dual-style cutting weapons designed to rapidly slash groups. Sword A classic melee weapon focused on quick slashing attacks. Tornado Blade A Unique melee weapon with swirling attacks and bonus damage properties.
Melee weapons have their own attack sequences, and continuous attacks can build up your combos. That said, go through all those weapons described in detail below:
Axe

The axe is one of the most familiar faces in the Minecraft Dungeons 2 weapons lineup, and in the vanilla game as well. It swings in a circular motion and has a short cooldown. Swinging it repeatedly allows the axe to perform a combo, and the final hit deals increased damage. The weapon has been shown in the hands of Vindicators in the official trailer.
Battlestaff
The Battlestaff in Minecraft Dungeons 2 brings little more magic, as its description says the weapon has added weight on either of its ends. You can apply the powerful Lightning Surge enchantment to make a mage-style build, or the Soul Blast if you prefer hitting enemies.
Cleaver
The cleaver keeps things simple as it’s a melee weapon designed for close-quarters combat. For now, it appears to be a standard weapon that can build a strong finishing strike with consecutive attacks.
Double Daggers
If slow and heavy is not your style, double daggers might be calling your name. This is a dual-wielded melee weapon that lets you rapidly slash through enemies in range in a circular motion. The biggest appeal of this weapon is its speed and ability to slice through enemies when surrounded by them.
Mace
The Mace is another heavyweight blunt melee weapon that is seen equipped by the Royal Guards in the Minecraft Dungeons 2 trailers. For now, the weapon seems to have a serious damage output, but compromises on its attack speed.
Pickaxe
The diamond pickaxe in Minecraft is one of the most recognizable tools, and now it is a weapon in this action-RPG sequel, as first spotted in July. Details about its damage, attack speed, or potential enchantments have not been fully revealed yet, but it follows the same system of producing a strong final strike after building up its combos.
Pride of the Plains
The Pride of the Plains weapon is shown in the latest gameplay trailer. For now, we know it is a melee weapon of ‘Unique’ rarity, and players will be able to apply the Frost Crescent 2 enchantment in Minecraft Dungeons 2.
Scythe
The Scythe has a rather different look from the Soul Scythe featured in the original Minecraft Dungeons game. It was first spotted in key art, being wielded by Flores. From the gameplay trailers, it seems like the Scythe will be a balanced weapon in terms of power and speed.
Shovel
The Shovel is a humble lower-tier weapon in Minecraft Dungeons 2 that produces circular slashing moves. As you make consecutive hits, the final attack can briefly stun the enemy.
Sickles
Sickles can produce rapid slashing attacks, making them a natural choice for players who want to move around the area and finish off enemies quickly. The weapon is best suited for the Skeletons, Zombies, Illagers, Guards, and such lower-tier enemies.
Sword
The sword is the most balanced weapon in the entire lineup of Minecraft Dungeons 2 weapons. It can produce a strong power output, has a decent range, and is faster than the War Hammer or the Mace. Sometimes you don’t need a gimmick, and just a simple Minecraft sword is enough to clear off hordes of enemies.
Tornado Blade
The Tornado Blade is easily one of the most intriguing Minecraft Dungeons 2 weapons. As revealed in the gameplay trailers, its swirling effect can deal 60% of the weapon damage, while its melee attacks can deal 30% more damage to secondary targets.
War Hammer
The war hammer is an enormous melee weapon that can swing around, performing the standard combo system. The attacks with a war hammer may look slower, but the impact produced is extremely high, producing a rippling effect on the ground. This weapon has the highest power among all weapons in Minecraft Dungeons 2.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 Bow Weapons List
Bows in Minecraft Dungeons 2 grant you an approach to ranged combat. Unlike crossbows, they can be charged before firing, letting you unleash the maximum damage. However, these attacks use ammunition, and you can have at most 10 arrows at once that replenish over time. That said, here is the confirmed Minecraft Dungeons 2 bow weapon list:
Bow Weapon Description Bow A standard chargeable ranged weapon for firing arrows from a distance. Greatbow A larger bow designed around powerful charged shots. Trickbow A specialized bow that fires curving, ricocheting arrows.
Bow
The standard Minecraft bow is the baseline ranged option that should feel immediately familiar if you’ve played the vanilla version. Using it, you can fire an arrow immediately or hold the attack button to charge the shot that deals more damage.
Greatbow
The Greatbow works in the same way as the regular bow, but has an increased damage output. For now, the exact numbers for damage and charge time are unknown. You can either keep on firing arrows or perform a charged shot for additional damage.
Trickbow
The Trickbow is what shines the most among the Minecraft Dungeons 2 weapons due to its useful gimmick. Other than charged shots, the arrows fired from a Trickbow can curve and ricochet through the air, hitting multiple enemies within its range.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 Crossbow Weapons List
Crossbows work differently from bows as they cannot be held and charged to unleash a powerful attack. However, holding the attack button allows you to fire them continuously, showcasing a rapid-fire experience. Here are all the crossbow weapons in Minecraft Dungeons 2 confirmed till now:
Crossbow Weapons Description Crossbow A slower-firing ranged weapon that fires consistently without charging. Dual Crossbow Two crossbows wielded together for a very high rate of fire. Heavy Crossbow A larger crossbow designed for consistent ranged attacks.
Crossbow
The standard Minecraft Crossbow is a slower-firing ranged weapon that cannot be charged. The gameplay trailers have shown the Pillagers using a crossbow to ambush the heroes. Later, the footage also confirms that heroes can equip it in the game and use it to unleash consistent firing at the enemies.
Dual Crossbow
Why use one crossbow when you can use two? Yes, there are Dual Crossbows among the weapons in Minecraft Dungeons 2. However, there is a trade-off. With Dual Crossbows, you receive a higher rate of fire, but you compromise on the damage done to enemies.
Heavy Crossbow
The Heavy Crossbow has been shown in the gameplay footage; however, there are no exact damage numbers or information on its firing speed yet. Similar to the description of other standard-range weapons and their heavier version, we can predict that this will have a comparitively more damage output than the regular Crossbow.
So that wraps up all the weapons in Minecraft Dungeons 2. The game is slated to be released on September 29, 2026. Have you placed a Minecraft Dungeons 2 pre-order yet and obtained the rewards? Tell us in the comments below.
At present, 16 melee weapons, 4 bows, and 3 crossbows have been identified, for a total of 23 confirmed Minecraft Dungeons 2 weapons. As the list of weapons grows, we will keep adding them here.
Bows can be charged before firing, allowing you to increase the damage of your shot. Although the crossbow cannot be charged, it can fire continuously when the attack button is held.
