Matrix Fame Laurence Fishburne Wants to Play Professor X in MCU

Marvel has made it explicitly clear that they will bring us an X-Men project, and since everyone knows about it, people have been expressing interest in multiple roles. One such interest came from Matrix’s famed actor Laurence Fishburne, who expressed a desire to play Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X, in the MCU. What Did Laurence Fishburne Say About Being Charles Xavier?

Laurence Fishburne appeared at the New York Comic Con, where he expressed his interest in playing Charles Xavier or Professor X in the MCU. He made this statement during the Matrix reunion panel, saying that he knows there are talks of an X-Men project, and then asked the fans present if they would like to see him as Professor X. In his statement, Laurence Fishburne said-

“I know that they’re talking about the X-Men now. So, at this point, I want one of two things. The first thing would be: what do you think about Laurence Fishburne as Professor X?”

Previously, the character of Charles Xavier has been taken up by remarkable actors such as Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy. Now that things are changing, having a new face to the character could actually turn out to be a good thing, and with an actor of the caliber of Fishburne, things could turn out to be pretty interesting at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.
