However, simply attacking with her sparkling powers isn’t enough to become a great Jubilee main. So, discover how to play Jubilee in Marvel Rivals Season 9, along with our best tips and tricks to master the new character.
Full Marvel Rivals Jubilee Kit and Abilities Explained
Jubilation Lee, better known as Jubilee, is the new Strategist in Marvel Rivals Season 9. She is a mutant capable of producing bursts of pyrotechnic plasma. If that sounds confusing, she reshapes her radiant energy into projectiles that can heal allies and deal damage to enemies as well. So, Jubilee’s primary attack is firing lumikinetic explosive light blasts, which deal 10 damage per hit to enemies and 14 healing per hit to allies.
- Role: Strategist
- Difficulty: 4 stars
- Health: 275 HP
The damage and healing numbers are decent, so you have to rely on other abilities in Jubilee’s fireworks-themed kit to bring the best out of the character. The Blooming Ball (right-click) is the most vital ability in her kit, which you will be using the most to heal allies and affect enemies.
The tracking orb offers a good amount of healing within its radius. Surprisingly, you can increase the orb’s healing rate and radius by simply shooting at it. These healing orbs can be recalled similar to how Invisible Woman recalls her shield. In contrast, you can also throw the orb at an enemy to deal damage. The damage rate and bubble’s size can be increased similarly.
Jubilee also has a team-up with the Blade and The Hood, Vampiric Kin, and Hellfire Sparks. The former grants nearby allies additional heals when attacking enemies, and the latter enables self-healing on hit and deals critical hits. Players can use the Dazzling Detonation in tandem with the Blooming Balls. By popping off the bubble, you can either apply blind and vulnerability effects to enemies or grant allies extra healing and a speed boost.
Lastly, Jubilee’s ultimate ability, Fireworks Finale, lets her unleash a circle of firework clusters. The orbiting clusters heal allies and damage enemies on impact. When you increase the cluster radius, it can knock back and launch opponents. Having said that, here are all the abilities of Jubilee in Marvel Rivals:
Ability Name Input Button and Ability Type Description Energy Plasmoids Left Click (Primary Attack) Fire lumikinetic explosive light blasts forward to heal friends and damage foes. Triggering a Sparkle Mark briefly boosts Attack Speed and enables firing without consuming energy. Firework Finale Q
(Ultimate)Charge up and unleash a massive ring of outward-flying firework clusters, launching up nearby enemies. These clusters then orbit you, creating a field that damages enemies and heals allies. Expanding the cluster radius outward will launch up struck enemies. Sparking Sprint L Shift Wrap yourself in vampiric energy to gain a Speed Boost. While active, jump height and Attack Speed are increased, and Energy Blasts can be fired at no cost. Upon completion, generate a fireworks energy field around you, dealing damage and knocking back enemies, whilst healing allies. Dazzling Detonation E Detonate a firework energy orb, dealing damage to enemies in the area and applying Blind and Vulnerability effects. The energy can also be transferred to an ally, granting them healing and a Speed Boost. Blooming Ball Right Click Launch a tracking orb of vampiric energy that damages enemies and heals allies in its radius. Striking the orb or hitting targets near it charges it up, increasing both its size and healing power. Press F to manually recall it. Sparkle Mark Passive Hitting targets with Dazzling Detonation and Firework Finale applies a Sparkle Mark. Energy Plasmoids can detonate marks, granting allies a Healing Boost and Bonus Health, while dealing damage to enemies. Hellfire Sparks Team-Up (Passive) Base Effect: When Attack Speed is enhanced, Energy Plasmoids transform into a hitscan attack that grants self-healing on hit and is capable of dealing critical hits.
Enhanced Effect: When teaming up with The Hood, the Void Magic Mark is never cleared, allowing her to indefinitely sustain the hitscan attack form.Vampiric Kin Team-Up Base Effect: Deploy a Vampiric Field. Allies standing within the field gain Life Steal when attacking enemies.
Enhanced Effect: When teaming up with Blade, allies inside the field receive an additional Continuous Healing effect.
How to Play Jubilee in Marvel Rivals: Best Gameplay Tips and Tricks
As you can see, Jubilation Lee is indeed a unique strategist in the Marvel Rivals hero roster. On the surface, it may seem like she only offers a decent amount of heals and does average damage. However, the key to shining as Jubilee is combining all the abilities in her kit. Here are our best tips and tricks to light up the battlefield as Jubilee in Marvel Rivals:
Don’t Solely Rely on Energy Plasmoids
Energy Plasmoids are the primary fire of Jubilee in Marvel Rivals. While it is the bread-and-butter attack in Jubilee’s kit, if you only use the primary attack for healing and damaging, the base numbers aren’t enough to save your team. You can neither heal allies nor attack enemies properly this way. The key is to chain up all of her abilities so that you can easily save a dying teammate or shred tanks single-handedly.
Incorporate the orbs from the Blooming Balls ability into your attacks to heal and damage at the same time. Activating the Sparking Sprint allows you to do twice the damage and heal you did before. So, always aim to unleash a mix of attacks rather than simply holding the left click all the time. That’s the only way to become the best strategist in the game as Jubilee.
Recalling Blooming Balls Is the Key
Remember Invisible Woman’s Guardian Shield? Think of Jubilee‘s Blooming Balls as the Guardian Shield, but it is better in every aspect. So, if you are placing an orb to heal an ally, make sure to recall it before it pops up. In this way, you can avoid the long cooldowns, and you can quickly reuse the orb in offense as well.
These tracking orbs are very integral to Jubilee’s play. Unfortunately, you cannot recall the orbs simply by pressing the button. You have to look at the orb in order to recollect it. In addition, you also need to understand when to detonate and when to recall the balls. Because Dazzling Detonation also has its perks!
Perfect for Anti-Dive
With Black Widow being transformed into a diving Duelist, the dive comp is looking stronger than ever. So, if you are playing a Strategist, you need the perfect anti-dive abilities to counter heroes like Black Cat, Spider-Man, Venom, etc. Well, the good news is Jubilee is good against the dive characters in the game.
Both the Blooming Balls and the Sparking Sprint help deal significant damage against the diving heroes. So, quickly place an orb on them as they dive and then reposition yourself using the Sparking Sprint ability to fire non-stop. Let the dive heroes know their place!
Use Jubilee’s Ultimate like a Damage-based Ult
Last but not least, do not think of Jubilee’s Firework Finale ult as a full-on support ult in Marvel Rivals. You cannot rescue your teammates on the brink of death by unleashing Jubilee’s ult similar to Invisible Woman or Luna Snow’s ults. The fireworks ring provides heals to allies inside it and does tick damage to enemies, but it is not a life-saver.
So think of her ult like a Duelist’s ultimate. Use the firework clusters to launch up and knock down nearby enemies. Jubilee isn’t restricted by her ultimate ability. Once you have activated the ult, you are free to use all of her other regular abilities. So blend them all to set fireworks on the battlefield and get the kills. This way, you can turn Jubilee’s simple ult into one of the best ultimate abilities in Marvel Rivals.
