Ahead of the IFA 2018 convention, LG has announced a couple of new smartphones which feature the same build but pack slightly different hardware and the operating system they boot. The first one is the G7 One, which is the company’s first smartphone powered by Android One. The other smartphone announced by LG is the G7 Fit, which is a slightly watered down version of the G7 One and runs on LG’s own custom UX based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

The device is powered by Qualcomm’s last year flagship chip, the Snapdragon 835, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.
In the imaging department, the G7 One packs a 16MP rear camera with f/1.6 aperture, coupled with an 8MP front camera (f/1.9) with 80-degree field of view to capture wider selfies. In terms of features, the G7 One borrows some of the high-end functionalities from the flagship G7 ThinQ+, such as Google Lens integration, Hi-fi ‘DTS: X’ stereoscopic sound, a quad DAC chip and Boombox speakers among others.
