Simurian Third Eye is the powerhouse for the Simurian people. Like many people think it to be an organ that is more of a symbolic thing that distinguishes between the people living in the human world and the Simurians. However, the reality is way more different than what humans perceive. Yes, the Third Eye allows the world to know about the Simurian’s existence, but if you delve deeper into the lore, you will learn that the eye is basically a spiritual and biological organ of the ancient tribe.

JJK Modulo pushed the readers into a dilemma by revealing Maru’s third eye in the early chapters. However, it seems Gege Akutami didn’t want to play with the brains of the readers this time, so he didn’t keep it a secret for so long. The ninth chapter of the manga clearly revealed that the third eye of a Simurian is the source of their cursed energies, making it an invaluable organ.

Moreover, the Simurians only cry from their third eye at their birth and death. It’s the Lumer who sheds tears from the organ when their sacred animal, Karyan, dies. Also, as the third eye is placed right between the two eyes, it’s connected to the brains of the people of the tribe. So, whenever someone sheds tears from their third eye, their brain gets exhausted, and sometimes it might also cause death.

What Is the Significance of the Third Eye in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo?

Like the Third Eye in Hinduism reflects the enlightenment one reaches with the help of meditation, JJK Modulo’s Simurian Third Eye gives an ability to the alien race to alter their perception. It also allows the Simurian people to take control of the opponent’s body. For instance, in the sixth chapter, Maru attacked the cursed user named Takeda and paralyzed him temporarily, stopping him from moving even his fingers. Besides that, the Third Eye can also feed the opponent with unlimited information and confuse them from taking the right route.

JJK Modulo hasn’t yet revealed the larger picture of the Third Eye, but it’s safe to assume that the upcoming chapters will shed light on it.
