As the competition in the Indian telecom market gets intense, Reliance Jio is not looking back down and has today announced a new ‘Double Dhamaka’ offer for its prepaid users. The telecom giant is now looking to provide them with even more data for daily use.

First posted by Sanjay Bafna of Telecom Talk on Twitter, the Double Dhamaka offer will provide an additional 1.5GB of 4G data to Jio prepaid plan users on the daily. This offer will be applicable from June 12th to June 30th, during which users who recharge their Jio number will also get a 20% cashback or Rs 100 cashback.

This means Jio is now offering 84GB of data for a month at just Rs 120, whereas the Rs 399 recharge plan for 84 days now provides you a whopping 252GB of data (3GB per day) at just Rs 299. The telecom giant is offering a 20% discount of recharges below Rs 300 while those opting for heftier daily data packs will secure a Rs 100 discount on the total recharge amount.

Users were already able to avail Rs 100 discount offer on Rs 399 recharge plan, thanks to the PhonePe cashback scheme from previous week. It has appears to have been extended to everyone.

The highlight of the ‘Double Dhamaka’ offer is that it’s not being restricted to a segment such as Jio Prime users, but instead is being made accessible to everyone. This means all prepaid users will be able to benefit from this offer, which adds an extra 1.5GB of free data to their daily recurring recharge.

This offer has already gone live (starting at 4:00 pm on June 12) and may take some time to reflect in the MyJio app. It hasn’t shown up for any of us in the Beebom office, but keep your eyes peeled for the additional data card to appear in your ‘plan details’ in the app.
