- At the time of writing this article, there is no confirmation of Deadpool appearing in Avengers Secret Wars.
The Deadpool and Wolverine movie gives Marvel fans a live-action version of their wildest dreams. However, the highlight of Deadpool 3 was not just the epic team-up but also a love letter to every fan who has loved Marvel comics even before the cinematic universe came into being. Now the question is, did Deadpool and Wolverine crossover to the MCU and become a part of it? Find out if Deadpool is not part of the MCU in this post.
Deadpool Was Offered to Join the MCU by the TVA
In Deadpool 3, Deadpool was offered to join the MCU by Mr. Paradox but he did not accept the offer. In the movie, Deadpool is captured by the TVA and Mr. Pradox offers Deadpool to join the ranks of the greatest heroes ever in the MCU. However, there was a catch to it. He was being sent to the MCU since his entire reality would eventually get destroyed by Mr. Paradox, who planned to use a machine called the Time Ripper to end his world in less than 72 hours.
Deadpool could not watch everyone he loves and cares about die at the hands of Mr. Paradox so he goes rogue and gets Wolverine to help him save his world kicking off the tale of Deadpool 3.
Will Deadpool Appear in Avengers Secret Wars?
As of now, there is no confirmation of Deadpool appearing in Avengers Secret Wars after Deadpool 3. However, some instances indicate that Deadpool will play a part in the MCU and might show up in some upcoming Marvel movies and TV shows.
In the movie, we see that he is giving an interview to Happy Hogan to join the Avengers but Happy does not recruit him and says that he will keep an eye on Deadpool.
There’s a possibility that after witnessing that Deadpool saved the entire multiverse risking his life for the greater good, Hogan might call upon Deadpool for assistance in Avengers Secret Wars. Another possibility is that now that Deadpool is on TVA’s radar, he may get called upon once again when the Avengers seem outnumbered. However, this is just an assumption and to know if it will happen or not, we will have to wait for quite some time.
Kevin Feige Confirms Deadpool 3 Starts the ‘Mutant Era’ of Marvel
We do not have a direct answer to the question – “Is Deadpool now a part of the MCU?” However, Kevin Feige has indirectly confirmed for us that we will get to see more mutants in Marvel movies. In a recent conversation with The Playlist, Feige confirmed that the Mutant Era of Marvel has begun. In his statement, Kevin said,
“Also, the ‘after’ is clearly—now that we have characters from the ‘X-Men’ world, the Mutants—we haven’t had access to before, So, this is the beginning of that, and every movie post ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ will be the Mutant era coming into the MCU.”
However, the coming of Mutants to the MCU began even before Deadpool and Wolverine. If you folks remember, The Marvels post-credit scene showed us that Monica Rambeau has been trapped in an alternate universe and is under the care of two X-Men, Beast, and Binary.
So, it’s safe to say that the Mutants are here for good, which gives us a good chance that Deadpool will sooner or later appear in the MCU.
